Hive Music festival week #41 round #2: Lasso - Un millón como tú (cover) [ENG/ESP]

He estado unos tres días sin dormir mucho, eso porque tuve oportunidad de visitar y compartir con algunas amistades que tenía tiempo sin ver, y ayer no pude conciliar el sueño. Por ende, mi voz no ha estado al cien por ciento desde ayer, intenté cantar algunas notas altas y la verdad me costó, pero bueno, creo que al día de hoy mi voz se ha estado recuperando. Este post lo estoy escribiendo antes de siquiera grabar la canción, eso porque estoy asistiendo a un amigo de la familia que ha tenido un ACV, así que estoy por el día de hoy (miércoles) ayudando por aquí; veré si me da tiempo de grabar mi entrada para hoy.

Un dato interesante de toda esta situación que está sucediendo en mi entorno, es que dicho amigo de la familia que sufrió el ACV, era una persona con la cual empecé a tener una relación algo distante y un poco hostil debido a diversas circunstancias, las cuales generaron diferencias y momentos de tensiones entre nosotros, no es necesario entrar en detalle. A pesar de que incluso no tenía ganas de hablarle más, cuando me enteré de lo que le pasó, y que además, el ACV hizo que olvidara a todos sus amigos y parte de sus familiares, fue algo que me dolió bastante, me pareció insólito, así que accedí a venir a apoyarlo. Cómo siempre, la vida llevándome a perdonar de la forma más adecuada.

La canción que hoy traigo es un tema de Lasso, un cantante venezolano, seguramente lo conozcas si eres de por aquí. Créeme cuando te digo que Lasso me cae MUY MAL, o sea, él fue una especie de gusto culposo para mí. Hubo una época en la cual disfrutaba mucho de algunas de sus canciones, tenía un estilo y una energía interesantes a la hora de componer, pero después me fastidie de su frivolidad y su actitud medio arrogante de niñito rico con la vida fácil. Sin embargo, los buenos recuerdos quedaron, e independiente de lo que sea, el estilo y el ritmo de este artista mueve bastante, más que todo, en sus viejas canciones.

"Un millón como tú" es una canción que Lasso cantó en col la colaboración de Cami, otra artista con una voz muy hermosa. Esta canción está llena de sentimientos desgarradores, una separación y un pensamiento de que jamás encontrarás a otro amor igual, algo que te puede sumergir en una profunda incertidumbre, ansiedad y tristeza.

I have been three days without much sleep, because I had the opportunity to visit and share with some friends I had not seen for a long time, and yesterday I could not sleep. Therefore, my voice has not been at one hundred percent since yesterday, I tried to sing some high notes and it was really hard, but well, I think that today my voice has been recovering. I'm writing this post before even recording the song, because I'm assisting a family friend who has had a stroke, so I'm helping out here today (Wednesday); I'll see if I have time to record my entry for today.

An interesting fact about this whole situation that is happening in my environment, is that said family friend who suffered the stroke, was a person with whom I began to have a somewhat distant and somewhat hostile relationship due to various circumstances, which generated differences and moments of tension between us, it is not necessary to go into detail. Although I didn't even feel like talking to him anymore, when I found out what happened to him, and that in addition, the stroke made him forget all his friends and part of his family, it was something that hurt me a lot, it seemed unusual to me, so I agreed to come to support him. As always, life leads me to forgive in the most appropriate way.

The song I bring today is a song by Lasso, a Venezuelan singer, surely you know him if you are from around here. Believe me when I tell you that I like Lasso VERY BAD, I mean, he was a kind of guilty pleasure for me. There was a time when I really enjoyed some of his songs, he had an interesting style and energy when composing, but then I got annoyed with his frivolity and his arrogant attitude of a rich kid with an easy life. However, the good memories remained, and regardless of what, the style and rhythm of this artist moves quite a bit, mostly in his old songs.
