Undoubtedly, the subject is sad and unfortunately current. And it has been treated extensively in literature, perhaps with the intention of recreating in the imagination a way to combat it. In that sense, as the protagonist discovered in the story, the balance is fragile and not always neat.
Nevertheless, one can find hope in the simple smile of a child.
