Overview,
despite I have advantage with gold foil cards delegated to me, you also can achieve similar results with only $0.03 worth of renting per day. There are many other people also trying out different strategies to see how does the new system rewards the new players. So if you spend like $0.03 or 30-40DEC/day, you can be making quite a good profit. In addition, you can level up these new reward cards to further strength your base deck so either you have a stronger team for higher win rate or your rental cost will reduce. However, the real trick is you need to learn how to identify which cards to rent and the efficiency. No point spending hundred of DEC to rent a legendary card for a day to have super high win rate but does not cover the cost.
The good thing about the new reward system is that you are not just working hard for your daily chests, you are also earning your EOS chests.
I hope this journey can let those interested to play splinterlands to have more confidence in starting it.

Congrats! Funny that I got much lesser DEC from the 170 Silver chests compared to the 392 Bronze chests. Only received 1488 DEC overall. Fortunately I had a few quality drops in the chests.

Haha, for bronze or silver chest, DEC can sometime not the goal. The shiokness in getting cards are fun!
