BATTLE Weekly Challenge! MVP: Chaos Agent!

Yes you hear me right, the MVP to one of my matches is 1mana Chaos Agent. So for this week, instead of talking about the 1mana Carrion Shade, I will be talking about 1mana Chaos Agent instead as this is a very interesting match. With no attack, how can it become a MVP? Let's have a look.

Note: I have rented out most of my cards to generate passive DEC. However, I love playing Splinterlands so much that I bought thousand of Chao Legion Packs to get back in the game. As a result, most of the playable cards that I can use now is either Chao Legion splinters/summoners or those that I bought after the release of chao legion.

Strategy:

It is a low mana match and there is snipe. Low match means ur splinters is likely to be low hp as well and with snipe, your magic and range can be in great danger. So it is either about speed to take out your opponent range/magic fast or use magic to deal direct to the hp to kill it fast. I decide to go with kelya due to a +1 shield for better survival and high speed to take opponent out fast. I also able to use a

So this is how it looks like after applying the effect. As you can see, the opponent have debuff of -1 magic and -1 range. What is surprising is that the opponent actually put in 3 triage skill!! He has the same idea as me to use 2nd position for snipe tank and use triage to protect it, but with 3 triage, that is insane!!!

After round 1, you can see that his failed summoner is actually back to almost full hp!! I can deal him a total of 7 range damage but each triage heal is 3hp, making a total of 9hp. So basically i cant wear him down at all!!! On the other hand, they can deal me 4 magic damage but i can only heal 2.
But if you look closer, you will realise that their 3 magic splinters dont have their armour already. This is because our Chaos Agent has been phrasing their magic attack and the backfire has deal 2 damage to each of them and remove the armour.

Round 2, I cant do anything to the failed summoner. I am praying hard for my Chao Agent to do more damage to the magic splinters. What you cant see is that now, spirit hoarder is only left with 2hp after taking the backfire twice.

In round 3, with 3 consecutive backfire to the spirit hoarder, he is finally taken down!!! Now there only 2 more triage! One of the triage skill is actually use to heal Khimer Princess but because of a miss from our ranger, the fail summoner is still able to back to full hp with just the 2 triage.

With one less triage, I am very happy that things are on track. As usual, after the all my range splinter attack on the fail summoners, he is left with 3 hp as you can seen from the above image. Yet he still never die from round 1 till now.

Despite now with only 2 triage, I realise there is hardly any progress in round 4. You can compare this picture and the one after round 3, there is like not much different at all.

At the end of round 5, i already resign to the fate that killing the summoner is not an option. But, continuing to wear him down is a good choice as it will force the triage to be used on him while the chao agent continue to wear the magic splinter down with triage.

Round 6 is where real imapct happens. One of the traige skill is used to heal queen instead as she has 1hp left. As a result, the fail summoner only able to recover back to 4hp only.

And with that!!! My ranger never fail to disappoint and take out the fail summoner FINALLY!!! And from there on, it is quite clear cut that we can easily wear down the other 2 magic splinters and win the match!!!

Recap

Now you can see why Chao Agent can be the MVP of the match. I did well to use debuff like -1 to both range and magic attack, otherwise Chao Agent would not have survive so long. This has made me love Angelic Mandarin even more as both his silence and triage works wonder in this match.

Re-analysis

I chose speed in this match is a right choice. I am deciding between

1. speed
2. magic
3. all melee
   And I end up chosing speed with debuff. With spreading fury rule, it is quite easy to further buff the speed to insane level, so you can see why Chao Agent is able to keep avoid and doing backfire to the magic splinters as they are mostly has 1 or 2 speed while Chao Agent has 8 speed in fury mode. Spirit hoarder has a speed of 1 even in fury state.
