Hello everyone, I hope you are well 🙂 I'm going to take a break from my trip to the Azores and I'm going to tell you a little about my night last night 🙂 I decided to visit the medieval fair in Leça da Palmeira and to my liking it was a super calm night and peaceful. I love the stalls with handicrafts, I love the historical trajectories and the excitement that there is always at medieval fairs. With the setting of medieval fairs, it is perfect for going back to the past. With this experience I learned a little more about culture and I'm really excited for you to show it all 😃

Right at the entrance there was a giant sign saying welcome. The letters were large and had details typical of medieval fairs. When I saw it, I was immediately involved in the scene.

The main thing that takes me to medieval fairs are the bands that sing old songs, with several people, each with an instrument. These bands spread throughout the fair bring a super cool atmosphere, providing a true journey through time.

These bands have the freedom to move throughout the fair, stopping at various locations and surprising visitors and even the artists working there. Sometimes they were together in craft stalls, sometimes they were in the food spaces, always attracting a small crowd around them and everyone who came together danced and enjoyed a lot 😃 we heard everything from soft melodies of harps and flutes to more energetic rhythms of drums and lutes, creating a diversity of music that appeals to everyone

The bands interacted so well with the audience, inviting people to dance and participate. Children and adults were captivated by the joy and energy of those songs.

In addition to being musicals that entertained people, there was also a bit of history and culture there. These songs were sung in medieval times, narrating battles, romances and ancient legends. It was an incredible opportunity to learn more about the cultures and traditions of that time, all in a light and fun way. It was undoubtedly one of the biggest attractions and left a special mark on my visit to the medieval fair in Leça da Palmeira

At the medieval fair there are lots of things for sale from medieval times, but I thought these pirate hats in particular were beautiful. These hats are highly sought after by visitors to this medieval fair. Adults and children wore the hats. The hats added a touch of fun and adventure to the event.

There were black and red flags throughout the medieval fair. They undulated with the wind, revealing some friendly symbols. Each flag told its own story

At the entrance there is a boat. The boat captures the attention of many visitors. The boat does not symbolize travel and historical discoveries, but it also functioned as a portal to a unique experience in time. It was decorated with nautical details and surrounded by maritime elements such as nets and lanterns.

At the fair it was also possible to learn a little about the art of working iron. I was watching a skilled gentleman performing this art. With skillful hands and a lit oven he made unique pieces. Each object was crafted, exhibiting a standard of quality and detail that captured our attention. After its creation it presented an opportunity to take home a piece of history

The items are decorative pieces adorning homes with rustic elegance and durability. I was amazed at the amount of products available. Each piece told a story of tradition

At the medieval fair, ancient chests were real treasures. These wooden chests were an attraction. Each chest told a story, carrying secrets from the past life. In addition to the chests, there were also rare coins, rare jewelry and handcrafted utensils.

Chests were not just decorative pieces, many were functional for storing modern treasures.

Throughout the fair, people could see several chests, all with different treasures and different stories.

The fair had a peculiar table that really attracted me. On the table there was a pirate skeleton and next to it there was a green pepper and smoked sausage. It seemed like something out of a movie conjuring up images of seafaring adventures and lost treasures.

Alongside the pirate skeleton there were also salted mackerel, a traditional and versatile ingredient in Portuguese cuisine. The presence of horse mackerel on the table does not highlight the historical cultural importance

Olá a todos, espero que estejam bem 🙂 Vou fazer uma pausa na minha viagem aos Açores e vou contar-vos um pouco da minha noite de ontem 🙂 Resolvi visitar a feira medieval em Leça da Palmeira e para meu gosto foi uma noite super calma e tranquila. Adoro as barracas de artesanato, adoro as trajetórias históricas e a agitação que sempre há nas feiras medievais. Com cenário de feiras medievais, é perfeita para regressar ao passado. Com essa experiência aprendi um pouco mais sobre cultura e estou muito animada para vos mostrar tudo 😃

Logo na entrada havia uma placa gigante dizendo bem-vindos. As letras eram grandes e tinham detalhes típicos das feiras medievais. Quando vi, fiquei imediatamente envolvida na cena.

O principal que me leva às feiras medievais são as bandas que cantam músicas antigas, com várias pessoas, cada uma com um instrumento. Essas bandas espalhadas pela feira trazem um clima super cool, proporcionando uma verdadeira viagem no tempo.

Essas bandas têm liberdade de circular pela feira, parando em diversos locais e surpreendendo os visitantes e até mesmo os artistas que ali trabalham. Às vezes eles estavam juntos nas barracas de artesanato, às vezes estavam nos espaços de alimentação, sempre atraindo uma pequena multidão ao seu redor e todos que se reuniam dançavam e se divertiam muito 😃 ouvíamos de tudo, desde melodias suaves de harpas e flautas até ritmos mais energéticos de tambores e alaúdes, criando uma diversidade de músicas que agrada a todos

As bandas interagiram muito bem com o público, convidando as pessoas para dançar e participar. Crianças e adultos ficaram cativados pela alegria e energia daquelas canções.

Além de serem musicais que divertiam as pessoas, ali também havia um pouco de história e cultura. Essas canções eram cantadas na época medieval, narrando batalhas, romances e lendas antigas. Foi uma oportunidade incrível de conhecer mais sobre as culturas e tradições daquela época, tudo de uma forma leve e divertida. Foi sem dúvida uma das maiores atrações e deixou uma marca especial na minha visita à feira medieval de Leça da Palmeira

Na feira medieval há muitas coisas à venda da época medieval, mas eu particularmente achei lindos esses chapéus de pirata. Estes chapéus são muito procurados pelos visitantes desta feira medieval. Adultos e crianças usavam chapéus. Os chapéus deram um toque de diversão e aventura ao evento.

Havia bandeiras pretas e vermelhas em toda a feira medieval. Eles ondulavam com o vento, revelando alguns símbolos amigáveis. Cada bandeira conta a sua própria história

Na entrada há um barco. O barco chama a atenção de muitos visitantes. O barco não simboliza viagens e descobertas históricas, mas também funcionou como portal para uma experiência única no tempo. Foi decorado com detalhes náuticos e rodeado de elementos marítimos como redes e lanternas.

Na feira também foi possível aprender um pouco sobre a arte de trabalhar o ferro. Eu estava observando um cavalheiro habilidoso realizando essa arte. Com mãos hábeis e forno aceso fez peças únicas. Cada objeto foi elaborado apresentando um padrão de qualidade e detalhamento que chamou nossa atenção. Após a sua criação apresentou a oportunidade de levar para casa um pedaço da história

Os itens são peças decorativas que adornam as casas com elegância rústica e durabilidade. Fiquei impressionado com a quantidade de produtos disponíveis. Cada peça contou uma história de tradição

Na feira medieval, os baús antigos eram verdadeiros tesouros. Esses baús de madeira eram uma atração. Cada baú contava uma história, carregando segredos da vida passada. Além dos baús, havia também moedas raras, joias raras e utensílios artesanais.

Os baús não eram apenas peças decorativas, muitos eram funcionais para guardar tesouros modernos.

Ao longo da feira, as pessoas puderam ver vários baús, todos com tesouros e histórias diferentes.

A feira tinha uma mesa peculiar que me atraiu muito. Sobre a mesa havia um esqueleto de pirata e ao lado um pimentão verde e uma linguiça defumada. Parecia algo saído de um filme, evocando imagens de aventuras marítimas e tesouros perdidos.

Ao lado do esqueleto de pirata havia também a cavala salgada, ingrediente tradicional e versátil da cozinha portuguesa. A presença do carapau na mesa não realça a importância histórico-cultural
