Wednesday Walk - A Busy Weekday Evening
For people across the world Wednesday is a mid-week day, but for me here in Oman it is almost the end of the week, and most of the people are already in weekend mood by Wednesday evening, since Thursday is the last day of the working week and Friday and Saturday, we have the weekend holidays. Sunday when the whole world is resting our first day of the work week starts :-)
From Sunday to Wednesday, I normally like to take walks in the park near my home. Over the weekend I like to go to far places. Though it was not exactly the weekend but me and hubby just thought of going for a stroll to the Corniche which is called as the Muttrah Corniche. This part of the town is the old city and it still has some of those old houses and shops. This place is famous for tourist as you will find here lot of shops which sells traditional Omani items. These shops are on the opposite side of the Corniche. Also, the Cruises that come gets docked here and the first place that the tourists get to see is the Muttrah Corniche and the Souk.
It is hubby's favorite place, whenever we cannot think of doing anything then this is the place we come to just for a stroll and sit by the Sea side.
It's a long stretch and a much-sorted place for people to walk

Nice flower beds are made on the divider road
And a Happy Me
Always good to have these mid week breaks.

Absolutely nice. Reading through post here on WEDNESDAY WALK, brings to me how beautiful it is on the other side of life. A world different from where I am born and bread. Its lovely to see varieties so to say of places and things or even days chances and time. Here in Nigeria, Wednesday is a mid-week and weekend starts from Friday evening till Sunday evening while weekday works or activities starts on Monday till Friday evening.

Taking breaks, even during the week, simply for a walk near home is important.
I also love the sea, so I think a walk by the sea in the evening is the best you could wish for to recharge your batteries.

I love that walk by the sea side and if it is on the beach it's all the more better. Thankfully in this city we have open and easy access to beaches and I keep going there often.
Yes, it's like that in my city too; I love walking by the sea during the winter especially, with the gorsso sea, it puts me so much peace.
Now that looks like a great place to walk and a great place for tourists to visit too.
Are they the huge cruiseships that dock there?
This place is always full of tourist. There is a port in this area, so all the cruise line passengers can be seen around in this place in the season
