๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฝ๐ŸŒปSublime Sunday๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ’– by @c0ff33a - Exploring Ikea

Ikea has opened up in my city since the last couple of years but I never had a chance to visit it. I keep hearing a lot about this store but somehow or the other could never visit. The place is huge and it's all under one roof, so ideally, it's very convenient but here in Muscat there are many such stores like Lulu Market, Home Town is there and there are others also, and I have been used to going to these places so Ikea always took a back foot. These places have been there for a long time and Ikea is relatively new. The other reason also is that the place is huge and it needs lot of time to go around, and I get very confused with such big places so I was avoiding it. Thursday evening, I was free so all of a sudden, I had this thought of going to Ikea and checking out the place. I was thinking that since I am travelling back to Mumbai shortly, may be I can get somethings for my new home there, that was the whole intention.

One thing I liked here was that the layout of the store is very organized and you just keep walking through from one department to another. Clear signs are put everywhere and there are shortcuts also. Since I wanted to see the whole store I decided to follow the path right from the beginning.

I was more interested in the Kitchen and the home decor section. Kitchen I did not want to buy anything, but I was interested because I wanted some ideas.

One of my favorite sections.

As I walked through I saw that there were full room set ups, I did not expect it to be this way, I thought there would be furniture at display, but here they had full room set ups, and this makes it so easy for some one to decide what item to buy for them home. And for someone who needs to refurbish their home, this place gives a lot of cool ideas to work on. I did take quiet a few kitchen tips from here.

These kind of layouts exactly give you an idea of how the furniture you buy from here will look in your space.

I loved this one, quite a royal look.
IMG-20240914-WA0007.jpg

This one is elegant as well.

I plan to buy this cabinet for storing my crystal collection. It's very reasonable and just the way I would want. Yes, but buying will be after a few months when I shift my furniture to India.

I liked this one also, I am contemplating between the 2, the only drawback with this one is it's small, but the good part about it is that show wise it looks better and the frame here is the metal one, so it's sturdy.

I liked these also, and I am a little confused now, probably by the time I have to buy I will be sorted and able to decide which one to go for.

I took the picture of this folding stand to show it to my carpenter back in Mumbai. My home kitchen is small and this is a good idea to make a small working table when needed.
IMG-20240914-WA0013.jpg

I loved this kitchen, it's so beautifully designed.
IMG-20240914-WA0014.jpg

This is a nice compact one.
IMG-20240914-WA0025.jpg

This is also one another table that I would be interested in getting it done for my home in Mumbai. A nice space save utility table

I did not buy anything, in the home department it was so big and as expected I was confused. There was so much out there and I could not really decide what to buy.
After going through the whole store at the end is a Swedish restaurant. I was tempted to have my dinner here, but again I could not, since I am on a strict complete vegetarian diet till Monday, which does not even include egg, so I had to give it a skip, but I have decided to visit here coming Thursday again for a dinner meal.

I liked the place and found it very interesting. There are many good things that I liked for my home back in Mumbai, but some of them are bulky. There is a Ikea store opened in Mumbai also, I plan to visit there and if these same things are available in the store I would rather buy it from there itself rather then carrying things from Muscat. But visiting here gave me a good idea, now I know what all I can get here and buy.

Thank you for visiting my blog. ๐Ÿ‘ผ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘ผ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐ŸŒน๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒธ

Sometimes what I do is, I take these ideas and then get it customized from my local carpenter. It works our well in this manner

I've never lived near an Ikea store, so I've never visited one. It's a great idea to have full room set ups so shoppers can see how the furniture might look in an actual house! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
