Fun from the Baking class continues
A few days back I wrote about our session at the Cake Baking class. The first session was working on the Jar cake, and as we continued with our session this week as well, it was on decorating the cake. Personally, these experiences are sweeping me off my feet, because I have never tried my hands on baking and cakes, so it's all very new and fascinating for me. Couple of times, I have tried making a simple Almond flour cake myself and that's turned out well, but cake I have never tried. I do enjoy watching it on T.V., the baking sessions, so when this opportunity came up, I instantly opted for it. Our ladies group organized these sessions with one of the bakers in the group. My second session has been equally enthusiastic as the first one.
Let me show you what me made today. In this session we were only the observers and did not really make anything by ourself, but yes, the baker did give us a chance to try our hands on the assembling and decorating part. This month is all Halloween theme, so the cake set up was also done accordingly.
The final outcome
Here goes our session. The cake was already baked and kept, because in a 2-hour session it is not possible to bake and do the decoration all in one go as it also needs cooling time, so the base was already made. The first piece was layered with the chocolate sauce and then on top of it one more layer was kept.
And like that layers of cake were set up on top of each other with chocolate and coffee paste layers in between
Once that was complete then the cake was covered up with the chocolate paste. In the class we were also taught on how to make the different flavor paste.
Now we are taught how to do the strawberry sauce dripping. It looks like very simple to do the dripping, but trust me it's not, it needs skill and precision. The lady is damn good in this, I admired her skills.
Almost ready
The final part was to then decorate it with the macrons, which also she had prepared in advance.
In the end the cake was cut and distributed between all of us.
As I mentioned this class was more of a observation, but we enjoyed a lot and I learned quite a few new tricks.
Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸
This sounds like such an exciting activity and the designs are so creative:)

The cake does give the Halloween vibe!! imagine that beautiful cake landing in you ladies stomach after some few hours, so sad.
Hehe, that's what even I felt, that making something so beautiful and then destroying it, is it really fair :-)
You really did well in the baking class and by the time you keep doing this, you will be perfect
Keep it up!
I need to keep practicing it if I have to do it better.
The observers are always the best when in action. I am sure you will bake as good as the lady. I just wish I could have a bite of it already. So yummy 😋
I enjoyed watching it but I would not enjoy eating it, after knowing all the contents that go in it :-) I need to first find the healthy alternatives to all these ingredients and then start making it
That cake looks fun, the ghost 👻 looks are comedic and the most fun part is having a taste. You didn’t mention how yummy it was.
Me being very conscious about my Sugar intake I had a very small bite of it and it was super delicious. That's what the sugar does to the brain, right? :-)
Hi @nainaztengra
This activity is great! Learning directly in an in-person class, taught by an expert in baking, allows you to learn important secrets and tips that will be useful when making cakes and desserts. The final result is beautiful, it totally reflects the Halloween theme, and the taste was surely delicious.
On the other hand, we wanted to suggest that you please be careful with labels. The tag for this community is #foodiesbeehive and #foodie
Greetings.
That's true, learning from experts and then tasting their food gives you good insight on their secret recipes. I still have to try it myself and see the results, which I am sure will not be as great as this one in the first attempt.
Thank you for bringing the tags to my notice

I love the ghosts on top, they are very cute!
Yes, they look super cute, nothing like a ghost
What an interesting class! Honestly, I have never tried enrolling in a baking class. I see you were all having a great time and I hope to try it someday my dear friend. Those icings on tops or is that a fondant, hehe, really so nice! And I am sure the cakes are so delicious!
We had a wonderful gala time, so much fun with the ladies. The cake was super delicious.
Those little ghost are made of icing sugar, like macrons. It's not fondant.
Decorating a cake is one of my dreams. I hope I can do schooling like you soon. The cake is beautiful. Congratulations to all of you.
Amazing cake!!! You did an amazing job, I love the ghosts on top. I miss culinary school so much. I had so much fun taking the baking classes, they were my favorite. Keep up the amazing work.
