Evening at the Le Deck in Cully
Every time I travel, I like to explore places which are not very common with the tourist, something offbeat which is worth exploring. This time I explored the Lavaux region. The wine region of Switzerland in the Swiss canton of Vaud. The beauty of this place is mesmerizing. Specially for me, because I do not get to see these types of places in my Country so they do fascinate me a lot. This place is a home to some of the most renowned vineyards. It is truly a hidden treasure.
The steeped terraced vineyards go down touching the lake and then in the backdrop are the Swiss alps. Everything blends so well into each other and it all looks magical.
After getting down at the Cully Ferry stop, I was lost for a while because I was not sure what to do from there on. Luckily came across the information center where the lady guided us. She asked us to take a bus and then go up to the hilly regions form where we would get the best views of the place. She also suggested that we should try out the Cafe at the hill top named Le Deck. We thought it must be a normal restaurant, but we were very surprised when we reached there.

It was a pub kind of place with music and the best views one can ask for.
We reached the place, and another surprise, there was waiting. I thought hardly anyone came here, but then I realized whoever comes here comes to this place. We got a seat within 10 minutes, so it was not bad

Such wonderful memories and moments to cherish for lifetime.

Your view on visiting beautiful places that are not commonly visited by tourists is unique. That's a view for people who don't really like places that are too crowded with tourists. I also have the same view as you. In fact, I really like places that are not yet crowded with other people. I love hidden paradises.

These hidden gems give the real flavor of the place. You get to know the local life in these places. The common tourist places are very commercial and even the prices are so much hiked up for everything in these commercial places. Because of the crowd you cannot even enjoy it properly. Though to think of it we are also part of that crowd :-)

The place is worth to visit, as per my knowledge one of the beautiful countries in world to visit.
Switzerland is a very beautiful place to visit, though I feel that in Europe there are many other such places also, like Austria, though I have never been there I have heard a lot about it's beauty.
