Enjoying a sumptuous Asian Meal

Weekend is a time for me in food indulgences. Throughout the week I am very mindful about what I eat, but over the weekend I like to give it a loose end and not be too strict on myself, and at the same time also being mindful of not filling up myself with complete junk. Weekend is also time to catch up with friends. Living in a small place, life also gets very limited here. With the summer at its peak I cannot even do much of outdoor activities. Over the weekend, mostly these days we either plan a get together at each other's place or we go out and dine.

This week I wanted to visit one of the Pakistani's food joints. The reviews have been very good of the place, the restaurant is named as Nawab's, but then my friend's parents are here with us in Muscat and they wanted to try out some Asian cuisine, honoring the guest wishes we ended up going to a multicuisine Indian restaurant called #968. Price wise it's a mid-range restaurant and their food is delicious. Hubby has always been a fan of this place and ready to go any time.

The Star attraction dish for the evening was Khao Suey Chicken. It is a noodle dish made with meat of preference and coconut milk and served with a variety of contrasting condiments. It's got the Thai flavor in it. To me it tastes more like a Thai curry only. My friend's mom was keen to have it. This is the only place in the town where this dish is available, hence we could not say no to her.

Here they served it with peanuts, fried onions, chili flakes, spring onions and crushed nuts. Quite a nice combination to go with the Soupy noodles.

After mixing up all the condiments. Whenever I order for myself, I avoid to put the chili flakes as it gets too spicy with it.

A Noodle dish. I am not a Noodle fan, but my friends like it, so we went one for it.

A Dish of Ginger Chicken. I like this one, it has strong Ginger flavor and gives a good punch to my taste buds

A Dish of mixed Szechwan Rice. A Dish of all in one, Rice, Noodles and Gravvy.

Happy us

We were 10 of us and we shared the food. The thing with Asian cuisine is it makes you fill up fast and then you feel hungry also soon again. Actually, not the healthiest meal, but then sometimes you just need to go with the flow. My choice of food is always Indian. I like Kababs, because they have no oils, preservatives, sugar or unhealthy carbs in it. Majority of the time I end up eating Tandoor food. Yesterday was a feast day for me. I am going to make it up today with my detox plans...hehehe.
My friend's parents were happy, they enjoyed the food, and after all they are our guests, so it was all good in their honor. Next week I am surely going to feast out on my Indian cuisine.

Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸

I'm curious with that Khao Suey Chicken, I'm wondering how it tastes after putting all the condiments, that's a lot I Mean. Will it taste good if you put them in that dish? The other dish too, it looks good. That's a variety of food you got there ✨

It does taste very good with all of that added in it, and it also depends on your taste buds, as I mentioned I avoid the chilli flakes as I do not like it spicy. It has more of a Thai flavor, so if you like Thai cuisine, you will like this

Going through this post already gave me a wet appetite. Khao Suey Chicken must be a very nice type of dish; anything chicken, count me in.

I like the way all the meals were plated, it gives extra attraction to the dishes.

It is so rightly said that first we eat with the eyes and then with our mouth. Presentation matters a lot
