One of the most beautiful lakes in Bangladesh, which is mainly created due to coal mining.
Hello friends hope you all are doing well. Welcome to my new post. I like to travel a lot which is why sometimes I go out alone to travel. But when someone is my travel companion, then my happiness is doubled. Because of this I like to travel more with him. It was a day yesterday that day I went quite far with my younger brother.
Basically there is no good spot in our upazila where we can go and roam. But in our neighboring upazila Parvatipur there are many places where there are many beautiful monuments like there is a coal mine where coal is mainly mined. I think that about 50 percent of the electricity demand of our country is provided from this coal mine. My brother and I went out there in the afternoon. We originally went to a lake located in that coal mine. We are describing these to you basically in the afternoon we went. Due to which we were very late to go there.
It turned out that we went there. The sky was still very bright. We were having a hard time going because of the sun and we were sweating a lot because of the intense sun. We went there by motorcycle. The moments of going there are very beautiful. The place is located about 50 km from my house. While going, we pass by the highway and I have not taken many photographs of the road. This national highway of ours has connected our district. Dinajpur district to Dhaka city and through this road we can go to different places in Bangladesh.
We have many paddy fields on both sides of this road. Wherever one goes in this vast field, it is like a golden crop of paddy. And because of this paddy, the places look much more beautiful as if golden color seems to be around. I looked on the road and there were no vehicles. Sometimes two buses and many small and big trucks are going back and forth. We went there. After going there we were passing by a road. Then we saw that there are many stones and we realized that we have come to this place. I originally came here once more but I went there by another road.
We both went there riding motorcycles. After leaving we both fell down. We had a good look around and observed. There were quite a few people there who basically looked like some of their sons were there doing photography and maybe they were there to travel. I saw some people who were basically standing there with a barashi. Some are sitting with umbrellas. They mainly sit here to hunt fish. Actually this lake is quite big. Coal used to be mined here but now it is in every condition. A lot of holes have been made here due to which it has become a big lake.
There are quite a number of small ponds around the lake. I saw that there are some beautiful flowers blooming in those kachuripanas. These are the kachuripana flowers that look very beautiful. We have them in our area and they are very white flowers. I left a flower there and I put it back there. Actually this lake is quite big. I think it is located on about a hundred acres of land. However, I don't know the potential amount. There I saw that there are several boats and there are some steamers which are very important for moving the people here.
These boats here travel with those who come here to travel. For this we have to pay a lot of remuneration to those who drive the boat. Because it is a big lake which shows where the fish are more abundant. Many people take boats to the lake and fish from there. But these people wanted a lot of rent. We told them that we will visit here but they are asking us a lot of money. Because of which we did not look interesting there.
I asked my younger brother to take some photographs of me. I got on the boat and he took some photographs of me. There is a small village across this lake and a small mosque is next to this lake. I came to the side of that mosque before but it is almost abandoned. There was a big village here due to coal mining which is no more. Now that village has been shifted to the side of this lake. I hope you will like this post. You will find my travel story very interesting, thank you.
