[ESP-ENG] Series Review: Succession (Season 2)
Hola amigos de la comunidad de Movies & Tv, espero se encuentren bien el día de hoy. Hace poco termine de ver la segunda temporada que realmente lo tiene todo para atraparte con su historia donde reina la rivalidad y el poder para conseguir que las cosas salgan como cada uno de los Roy tiene planeado, pero con el patriarca Logan Roy aún por delante siendo el CEO de la empresa Waystar RoyCo las cosas no seran tan faciles para ninguno de los trabajadores de la empresa y de la familia Roy. Simplemente podemos ver que cuando existe el deseo de poder cualquier persona es capaz de hacer lo que sea por su propio bienestar y en esta segunda temporada podemos ver más a fondo la interacción entre los hermanos Roy y su padre como también sus propios problemas personales.
Hello friends of the Movies & Tv community, I hope you are well today. I recently finished watching the second season that really has everything to catch you with its story where rivalry and power reigns to get things to go as each of the Roy has planned, but with the patriarch Logan Roy still ahead being the CEO of the company Waystar RoyCo things will not be so easy for any of the workers of the company and the Roy family. We can simply see that when there is a desire for power anyone is capable of doing anything for their own well being and in this second season we get to see more of the interaction between the Roy brothers and their father as well as their own personal problems.
En esta segunda temporada luego de que Logan Roy pasara por un proceso de salud bastante delicado, decide volver a tomar el control de su empresa y hacer que las cosas funcionen de la mejor manera aún si tiene que dejar de lado las posiciones de sus hijos Connor, Kendall, Shiv, Roman dentro de el imperio empresarial y que esto cause conflictos en la familia. Todos esperan que Logan Roy seda ante el hecho de que ya no tiene la misma fuerza para continuar siendo el líder de la empresa, pero esto para el es una decisión complicada ya que no ve a sus hijos como personas altamente calificadas para un cargo tan importante como ser el presidente de la empresa, esto lleva a que haya una disputa entre hermanos y comience la cacería para ver caer al otro sin importar sus lazos sanguíneos.
In this second season after Logan Roy went through a rather delicate health process, he decides to take back control of his company and make things work in the best way even if he has to put aside the positions of his children Connor, Kendall, Shiv, Roman within the business empire and that this causes conflicts in the family. Everyone expects Logan Roy to sedate before the fact that he no longer has the same strength to continue being the leader of the company, but this for him is a complicated decision because he does not see his children as highly qualified for a position as important as being the president of the company, this leads to a dispute between siblings and begins the hunt to see the other fall regardless of their blood ties.
Esta familia disfuncional pero increíblemente rica vuelve a ser el centro de atención en esta segunda temporada con nuevas disputas, alianzas inimaginables y muchos momentos de tensión y de humor negro como solo esta serie puede reflejar en cada episodio. La idea de mantener la empresa tiene a más de uno preocupado pensando en sus propios beneficios y haciendo pequeñas trampas ocultas para intentar que se dé de una vez por todas la noticia del nuevo CEO de la empresa. Logan Roy sabe que tiene que empezar a ver sus opciones y esto le genera mucho estrés y rabia al ver que las cosas cada vez se complican más.
This dysfunctional but incredibly wealthy family is back in the spotlight in this second season with new disputes, unimaginable alliances and many moments of tension and black humor as only this series can reflect in each episode. The idea of keeping the company has more than one worried thinking about their own benefits and making little hidden traps to try to get the news of the company's new CEO out once and for all. Logan Roy knows he has to start looking at his options and this generates a lot of stress and anger as he sees things getting more and more complicated.
Pero no todo gira en torno a Logan. Sus hijos, Kendall, Roman, Shiv y Connor, también tienen sus propias ambiciones y deseos de poder. Kendall, interpretado por Jeremy Strong, sigue luchando por encontrar su lugar en el mundo de los negocios y por ganarse el respeto de su padre mientras pasa por momentos muy oscuros debido a su fuerte adicción a las drogas y su debilidad ante su padre quien siempre lo ha tratado con un poco de lastima, además sale a la luz un problema en el que él estuvo involucrado y esto causa tension en la familia. Roman, interpretado por Kieran Culkin, aporta su sarcasmo y desenfado a la dinámica familiar y además también vive ciertos momentos difíciles dónde es humillado por su padre y se puede ver la forma en la que siente un gran miedo hacia él y como la relación de ambos hace que su estabilidad emocional se vea desequilibrada, mientras que Shiv, interpretada por Sarah Snook, demuestra una inteligencia y determinación que la convierten en una fuerza a tener en cuenta, pero que al igual que sus hermanos pasa por momentos difíciles dónde siente que su padre realmente no la toma en cuenta y ademas tiene una relación bastante inestable que desde el comienzo inicio de mala manera.
But not everything revolves around Logan. His children, Kendall, Roman, Shiv and Connor, also have their own ambitions and desires for power. Kendall, played by Jeremy Strong, continues to struggle to find his place in the business world and earn his father's respect while going through some very dark times due to his heavy drug addiction and his weakness to his father who has always treated him with a bit of pity, plus a problem he was involved in comes to light and causes tension in the family. Roman, played by Kieran Culkin, brings his sarcasm and light-heartedness to the family dynamic and also lives certain difficult moments where he is humiliated by his father and you can see the way he feels a great fear towards him and how their relationship makes their emotional stability is unbalanced, while Shiv, played by Sarah Snook, shows an intelligence and determination that make her a force to be reckoned with, but like her brothers she goes through difficult moments where she feels that her father does not really take her into account and also has a very unstable relationship that from the beginning started in a bad way.
Los nuevos acontecimientos en la familia Roy no hacen más que añadir capas de complejidad a la trama. Nuevos personajes entran en escena, trayendo consigo sus propias agendas y desafíos para los miembros de la familia. New developments in the Roy family only add layers of complexity to the plot. New characters enter the scene, bringing with them their own agendas and challenges for family members. Alliances are formed and broken in the blink of an eye, and every strategic move can have devastating consequences. But it's not all seriousness in Succession. The series gives us moments of dark humor that will make you laugh out loud, even in the midst of the tension and drama. Sharp dialogue, absurd situations and the characters' overreactions add a touch of levity to the plot, reminding us that, despite everything, life at the pinnacle of power can also be absurd and ridiculous.
Esta temporada me impresionó de gran manera ya que pensé que no pasaría de la primera porque este tipo de historias no me llaman mucho la atención, pero está tan bien escrita y hecha que te pone a ver cada episodio hasta el final y te deja con ganas de saber más. En esta temporada pude ver qué los hermanos Roy están bastante lastimados por la forma en la que sus padres los criaron y esto hizo que se convirtieran en seres que solo les importa el dinero y el poder aunque hay momentos dónde se dejan ver un poco vulnerables sobre todo cuando tienen alguna discusión con su padre el patriarca Logan Roy quien es un hombre que también tiene un pasado difícil pero que no supo hacer que su familia tuviera una vida diferente, aunque no lo justifico pienso que en algunas ocasiones la forma en la que fuiste criado puede marcarte en muchos aspectos de tu vida adulta y esto sucede con los Roy. Los actores realizan tan bien sus personajes que todo se ve muy genuino y hace que te sientas emocionado con cada giro de los acontecimientos, sin duda la elección de los actores en esta serie es una de las cosas que más me gustan y que más destaco de ella.
This season impressed me in a great way since I thought it wouldn't make it past the first one because this kind of stories don't catch my attention, but it is so well written and made that it makes you watch every episode until the end and leaves you wanting to know more. In this season I could see that the Roy brothers are quite hurt by the way their parents raised them and this made them become beings that only care about money and power although there are moments where they let themselves look a little vulnerable especially when they have an argument with their father the patriarch Logan Roy who is a man who also has a difficult past but did not know how to make his family have a different life, although I do not justify it I think that sometimes the way you were raised can mark you in many aspects of your adult life and this happens with the Roys. The actors perform their characters so well that everything looks very genuine and makes you feel excited with every turn of events, without a doubt the choice of actors in this series is one of the things that I like the most and that I highlight the most about it.
En un mundo donde el dinero y el poder lo son todo, Succession nos sumerge en un torbellino de emociones, intrigas y giros inesperados. ¿Quién saldrá victorioso en esta batalla por el trono de Waystar Royco? ¿Qué sacrificios estarán dispuestos a hacer los Roy para mantener su posición en la cima del mundo empresarial? Solo una cosa es segura: en la familia Roy, el poder es el juego más peligroso de todos. Los invito a ver esta serie que cuenta con cuatro temporadas de entre 10 a 8 episodios cada una y que pueden ver en la plataforma de HBO MAX además de otras plataformas en internet en idioma español o subtitulado. Buena reseña ! Llegué a sussesion bastante tarde , voy empezando la tercera temporada y aunque la primera no me gustó mucho no voy a mentir que los giros tan interesantes me atraparon , tiene muy buena trama y no te deja apartar los ojos del morbo de ver a esta gente horrible ,criada por gente horrible , haciendo cosas horribles y ridículas pero no queriendo perderte de nada 🤣
