[ESP-ENG] Film Review: A Simple Favor (2018)
Hola amigos de la comunidad de Movies & Tv, espero se encuentren bien el día de hoy. Tenía mucho tiempo queriendo ver la película A Simple Favor protagonizada por las increíbles actrices Blake Lively y Anna Kendrick dirigida por Paul Feig y estrenada en el año 2018, en algún momento había comenzado la película pero solo ví el principio y no quise continuar porque me pareció aburrida pero hoy la retome y la vi desde el comienzo de nuevo y me lleve una grata sorpresa, está película es bastante interesante, divertida, alocada, con giros inesperados que te dejan pensado "¿Que es lo que acabo de ver?" Así que si no han tenido la oportunidad de verla los invito hacerlo y también a leer mi opinión acerca de esta película 😊
Hello friends of the Movies & Tv community, I hope you are doing well today. I had a long time wanting to see the movie A Simple Favor starring the amazing actresses Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick directed by Paul Feig and released in 2018, at some point I had started the movie but I only saw the beginning and didn't want to continue because I found it boring but today I picked it up again and watched it from the beginning again and I got a pleasant surprise, this movie is quite interesting, funny, crazy, with unexpected twists that leave you thinking "What did I just see?" So if you haven't had the chance to see it I invite you to do so and also to read my opinion about this movie 😊
La historia nos cuenta la vida de Stephanie (Anna Kendrick) una mujer que es madre soltera y que pasa sus días criando a su único hijo y a la vez tiene un canal por internet dónde hace video blogs de contenido maternal, familiar y de alimentación, lleva una vida bastante tranquila y normal hasta que conoce a una de las madres de un compañero de escuela de su hijo, se llama Emily (Blake Lively) ella es una mujer que a simple vista se ve que tiene mucho dinero y una vida perfecta pero que tiene un comportamiento un tanto extraño para los demás padres que piensan que ella es una mujer superficial y egocentrica. Un día Stephanie y Emily comienza a hablar y se va creando una amistad, Emily la invita a conocer su hogar y también a mostrarse más real delante de ella, rápidamente la considera su mejor amiga y le dice que aunque Stephanie le parece una persona que se arriesga poco es una mujer bastante divertida.
The story tells the life of Stephanie (Anna Kendrick) a woman who is a single mother and spends her days raising her only son and at the same time has an online channel where she makes video blogs of maternal, family and food content, leads a fairly quiet and normal life until she meets one of the mothers of a schoolmate of her son, her name is Emily (Blake Lively) she is a woman who at first glance looks like she has a lot of money and a perfect life but has a somewhat strange behavior for other parents who think she is a shallow and self-centered woman. One day Stephanie and Emily begin to talk and a friendship is created, Emily invites her to know her home and also to show more real in front of her, quickly considers her her best friend and tells her that although Stephanie seems to be a person who takes few risks is a pretty funny woman.
Los días van pasando y Emily le va contando más de su vida a Stephanie, le cuenta que a pesar de tener una vida perfecta algunas veces todo se vuelve un poco aburrido pero que ama profundamente a su esposo y a su único hijo. En un arrebato de sinceridad por parte de Emily le pide a Stephanie que le cuente algo que haya hecho en su vida que sea emocionante o que nadie sepa sobre ella, ya que ahora son mejores amigas deberían saber todo sobre la otra y es ahí cuando Stephanie le cuenta que su papá tuvo una aventura y tiene un medio hermano con el que en algun momento tuvo sus encuentros sexuales, Emily le dice que eso es terrible pero que no es gran cosa y que le alegra que confiara en ella para contarle algo tan personal. Pero todo da un giro inesperado luego de que Emily le pidiera a Stephanie que cuidara de su hijo por supuestos asuntos de trabajo que debía resolver, pero pasaron los días y Emily no volvió y Stephanie empieza a sentir que algo muy malo le tuvo que suceder.
The days go by and Emily tells Stephanie more about her life, she tells her that despite having a perfect life sometimes everything gets a little boring but that she deeply loves her husband and her only son. In a fit of sincerity on Emily's part she asks Stephanie to tell her something she has done in her life that is exciting or that no one knows about her, since they are best friends now they should know everything about each other and that is when Stephanie tells her that her dad had an affair and she has a half brother with whom at some point she had her sexual encounters, Emily tells her that is terrible but no big deal and that she is glad she trusted her to tell her something so personal. But everything takes an unexpected turn after Emily asks Stephanie to take care of her son because of supposed work issues she has to resolve, but days go by and Emily doesn't come back and Stephanie starts to feel that something very bad must have happened to her.
A partir de la desaparición de Emily las cosas empiezan a ponerse un poco oscuras, hay todo tipo de noticias dónde las personas se preguntan que paso con esa hermosa y enigmática mujer, que podría haberle pasado para no estar en casa con su esposo y su hijo. Stephanie tomara la decisión de investigar por su cuenta que es lo que está detrás de la desaparición de Emily, mientras cuida a su hijo que está en estado de shock por no poder estar con su madre y además conocera un poco más sobre el matrimonio de Emily y a su esposo, quien aparenta una tranquilidad y que jura que Emily siempre se comporta de forma extraña, que se pierde por unos dias y luego vuelve sin una explicación aparente. Pero entre el cuidado del hijo de Emily y los momentos que tiene que pasar en esa gran mansión donde vivía ella, Stephanie empezará a sentirse un poco atraída por el esposo de Emily y aunque le da miedo lo que otras personas podrían decir sobre ella decide seguir el instinto pasional que siente aunque sea su peor decisión.
After Emily's disappearance things start to get a little dark, there are all kinds of news where people are wondering what happened to that beautiful and enigmatic woman, what could have happened to her to not be at home with her husband and son. Stephanie will make the decision to investigate on her own what is behind Emily's disappearance, while taking care of her son who is in a state of shock for not being able to be with his mother and also learn a little more about Emily's marriage and her husband, who seems calm and who swears that Emily always behaves strangely, that she gets lost for a few days and then returns without an apparent explanation. But between taking care of Emily's son and the moments she has to spend in that big mansion where she used to live, Stephanie will begin to feel a little attracted to Emily's husband and although she is afraid of what other people might say about her, she decides to follow the passionate instinct she feels even if it is her worst decision.
En el mundo del cine hay películas de todo tipo, pero muy pocas logran ser originales y llegar a las personas de la manera en la que A Simple Favor lo hace, debo decir que estoy feliz de haberla visto porque me lleve una gran impresión de lo buena que es la historia llena de drama, comedia, crimen y giros inesperados que hacen que la historia sean aún más interesante. El director Paul Feig logro captar en este thriller psicológico una historia que al comienzo parece ser simple y que con el nombre de la película no parece tan llamativa pero luego cuando la terminas de ver te das cuenta de la ingeniosa idea que tuvieron todos los que participaron en esta historia para crear ese ambiente de suspenso, drama, pasión, muertes y algo de comedia que hizo que esta pelicula sea una de mis favoritas de estas dos actrices, tanto Anna Kendrick como Blake Lively se lucieron en sus personajes y demostraron en pantalla la historia de dos mujeres muy diferentes pero que a la vez terminan teniendo algo en común: Un secreto que las persigue hasta el último momento.
In the world of cinema there are movies of all kinds, but very few manage to be original and reach people the way A Simple Favor does, I must say that I am happy to have seen it because I took a great impression of how good the story is full of drama, comedy, crime and unexpected twists that make the story even more interesting. Director Paul Feig managed to capture in this psychological thriller a story that at the beginning seems to be simple and with the name of the movie doesn't seem so striking but then when you finish watching it you realize the ingenious idea that everyone involved in this story had to create that suspenseful atmosphere, drama, passion, deaths and some comedy that made this movie one of my favorites of these two actresses, both Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively shined in their characters and demonstrated on screen the story of two very different women but at the same time end up having something in common: A secret that haunts them until the very last moment.
Siento que esta historia fue muy bien elaborada ya que no esperas que pasen tantas cosas durante las dos horas de duración de la película, disfrute muchísimo la historia y todos los giros inesperados que la hicieron una de mis favoritas por los momentos, no soy de ver muchas historias de este estilo pero ésta fue hecha de manera que no quedara ningún cabo suelto, me encantó la ingeniosa manera de crear una historia que comienza hablando sobre la amistad, las relaciones, la maternidad y los problemas cotidianos en algo más fuerte cómo una historia llena de secretos, dónde todos tienen uno y que los hace sentir temerosos de que se sepa la realidad. La recomiendo mucho y si te gustan estas dos actrices te va a gustar más, la historia es única y me parece que una de las mejores del 2018. I feel that this story was very well crafted as you don't expect so many things to happen during the two hours of the movie, I really enjoyed the story and all the unexpected twists and turns that made it one of my favorites for the moments, I am not one to watch many stories of this style but this one was made in such a way that no loose ends were left untied, I loved the ingenious way of creating a story that starts talking about friendship, relationships, motherhood and everyday problems into something stronger like a story full of secrets, where everyone has one and that makes them feel afraid of the reality being known. I highly recommend it and if you like these two actresses you will like it more, the story is unique and it seems to me one of the best of 2018.
