Hola amigos de la comunidad de BookClub, espero que se encuentre muy bien el día de hoy. Estuve un tiempo sin publicar en la comunidad por qué la verdad es que no sabía que leer y estaba como en un bloqueo lector pero me conseguí en Twitter con una publicación de un libro que llamo mi atención llamado "La dependienta" de la escritora japonesa Sayaka Murata. Este libro es el décimo de su autoría y ha recibido muy buenas críticas por parte de los lectores, yo estaba emocionada porque los asiáticos tiene una forma tan buena de mostrar sus historias y la vida en general que siempre dejan huella con cada una de ellas. Así que hoy les daré mi opinión de este libro, los invito a seguir leyendo ☺️📖

I was a while without posting in the community because the truth is that I didn't know what to read and I was like in a reader's block but I got on Twitter with a publication of a book that caught my attention called "Convenience Store Woman" by Japanese writer Sayaka Murata. This book is the tenth of her authorship and has received very good reviews from readers, I was excited because Asians have such a good way of showing their stories and life in general that always leave a mark with each one of them. So today I will give you my opinion of this book, I invite you to keep reading ☺️📖
¿De que trata este libro? - What is this book about?
El libro comienza mostrando la historia de una joven llamada Keiko Furukura la cual desde pequeña expreso sentirse diferente al resto de las personas, de hecho desde su niñez tiene comportamientos o respuestas ante situaciones que otros niños tomarían de manera diferente, ella es como una niña muy seria y práctica además de que le gusta analizar mucho las cosas que suceden a su alrededor. Sus maestros siempre llaman a sus padres para hablar sobre las diferencias que tiene Keiko con otros niños de su edad he incluso les dan el consejo de llevarla a que reciba terapia psicológica. Es tanta la presión de sus padres, su hermana y todas las personas a su alrededor por querer que ella se "cure" de lo que sea que la haga actuar de la manera en la que lo hace que al final Keiro termina aceptando que es diferente pero que debe enmascarar su verdadera forma de ser para poder vivir una vida lo más normal y tranquila posible y para evitar preguntas incómodas sobre su forma de ser o pensar.
The book begins showing the story of a young girl named Keiko Furukura who since she was a child expressed feeling different from the rest of the people, in fact since her childhood she has behaviors or responses to situations that other children would take differently, she is like a very serious and practical girl and she likes to analyze a lot the things that happen around her. Her teachers always call her parents to talk about the differences Keiko has with other children her age and even give them the advice to take her to psychological therapy. There is so much pressure from her parents, her sister and everyone around her to want her to be "cured" of whatever it is that makes her act the way she does that Keiro ends up accepting that she is different but that she must mask her true nature in order to live as normal and calm a life as possible and to avoid uncomfortable questions about her way of being or thinking.
Así que Keiro va creciendo y cuando ya tiene la edad suficiente para trabajar decide optar por un trabajo como dependienta de una tienda de conveniencia japonesa que está abierta las veinticuatro horas o mejor conocidos como Konbini. Al comienzo todo parece ir muy bien con su vida, trata de siempre ser lo más excelente con su servicio al cliente y no meterse en problemas, es así como consigue vivir por su cuenta y para ella todo va bien aunque al pasar los anos ella sigue trabajando en la tienda y ya su familia empieza a decirle que es tiempo de que busque un trabajo de verdad pero ya tiene dieciocho años trabajando en el Konbini y no tiene experiencia para conseguir otros trabajos que sean fijos. Todos empiezan a cuestionar que ya está algo mayor para aún estar soltera, no tener esposo y mucho peor no tener hijos, a Keiko no le afecta demasiado el no haber hecho la vida que otros considerarían la adecuada pero la presión de la sociedad y de su familia hacen que ella quiera de alguna manera formar parte de lo que supuestamente es correcto.
So Keiro grows up and when she is old enough to work she decides to opt for a job as a clerk in a Japanese convenience store that is open around the clock or better known as Konbini. At the beginning everything seems to go very well with her life, she tries to always be as excellent as possible with her customer service and not get into trouble, that's how she manages to live on her own and for her everything goes well but as the years go by she keeps working in the store and her family starts to tell her that it is time for her to look for a real job but she already has eighteen years working in the Konbini and she has no experience to get other jobs that are permanent. Everyone starts to question that she is too old to still be single, have no husband and much worse have no children, Keiko is not too affected by not having made the life that others would consider adequate but the pressure of society and her family make her want to somehow be part of what is supposed to be right.
Mi Opinión sobre este libro - My Opinion about this book
Para comenzar este libro me gustó mucho porque fue bastante fácil de leerlo, además de que la autora supo muy bien abordar todos los temas como los prejuicios de la sociedad, los deseos de la protagonista por querer encajar en lo que es supuestamente normal y además es bastante corto por lo que en un día puedes leerlo con tranquilidad. Está historia puede resonar en la cabeza de muchos lectores ya que todos hemos pasado por esas etapas donde nos preguntamos si lo que estamos haciendo con nuestra vida es lo correcto, lo que otros desean o si deberíamos escuchar nuestro corazón y hacer lo que pensamos que está bien para nosotros aunque a la vista de otros parezca fuera de lo común.
To begin with I really liked this book because it was quite easy to read, plus the author knew very well how to address all the issues such as the prejudices of society, the desires of the protagonist for wanting to fit into what is supposedly normal and it is also quite short so in one day you can read it at your leisure. This story may resonate in the heads of many readers as we have all gone through those stages where we wonder if what we are doing with our lives is the right thing, what others want or if we should listen to our hearts and do what we think is right for us even if it seems out of the ordinary to others.
Keiro es una mujer que tiene desde niña una voz interior que le decía que debía comportarse de cierta manera por qué esa sería la forma de encajar con los estándares de la sociedad y así no sería juzgada o llamada rara. De hecho en el libro podemos ver cómo constantemente esta estresada por qué sus padres le dicen que debería buscar un marido y tener hijos cosa que para ella no es lo más importante en la vida. Es así como ella va metiéndose en el papel de una persona normal y aunque es muy buena en su trabajo y se destaca como una de las mejores empleadas sabe que para la sociedad eso no es suficiente por lo que va cometiendo algunos errores cómo meter a un hombre casi desconocido a su casa y finge tener una relación con él, siendo este un hombre bastante descuidado con su propia vida y que solo le traería más problemas a su vida.
Keiro is a woman who since she was a child has had an inner voice telling her that she should behave in a certain way because that would be the way to fit in with society's standards so that she wouldn't be judged or called weird. In fact in the book we can see how she is constantly stressed because her parents tell her that she should look for a husband and have children, which for her is not the most important thing in life. This is how she gets into the role of a normal person and although she is very good at her job and stands out as one of the best employees she knows that for society that is not enough so she makes some mistakes like bringing an almost unknown man to her house and pretends to have a relationship with him, being a man quite careless with his own life and that would only bring more problems to her life.
Espero que puedan darle la oportunidad a esta escritora y a este libro que me pareció muy bien escrito y me dejó una sensación de libertad y de que hay muchas personas en el mundo que desean vivir a su manera y eso es lo mejor que podemos hacer aunque haya personas que no lo entiendan.
I hope you can give this writer and this book a chance. I found it very well written and it left me with a feeling of freedom and that there are many people in the world who want to live their own way and that is the best we can do even if there are people who don't understand it.
