Isabella of Portugal(1503-1539)
This time I present the granddaughter of Isabella I of Castille(1451-1504) and Ferdinand of Aragon(1452-1516)-its Isabella of Portugal (in spanish known as Isabel de Portugal)
She was born in Lisbon, kingdom of Portugal. Her parents was king Manuel I of Portugal and his second wife Maria of Aragon (the daughter of Isabella I of Castille and Ferdinand of Aragon)(their pictures below)
On 10 March 1526 she was married to her cousin Charles I of Spain (mostly known as Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor)-he was son of Philip I of Castille (known as Phillip the Handsome) and Joanna of Castille (also known as Joanna the Mad)-the sister of Maria of Aragon (Charles V picture below)
After marrying with her cousin (it is said that on their first meeting they both fell deeply in love), also grandson of Isabella I of Castille and Ferdinand of Aragon she became Queen consort of Spain and Germany, Archduchess consort of Austria, Lady of the Netherlands (10 March 1526-1 May 1539) and Holy Roman Empress (24 February 1530-1 May 1539)
During her marriage she gave birth 7 children-two daughters and five sons. But for a long time lived only both daughters and son Phillip (Phillip II of Spain)
She died in 1 May 1539 having experienced childbirth complications when she gave birth to a stillborn son. She was only 35 years old.
