Crime fiction wrote by Colleen McCullough
I am interesting not just in history, but also I like reading. Especially detectives or historical detectives. This time I want to talk about the detectives of Colleen McCullough (mostly known for her novel "The Thorn Birds). I have read the four from 5. In my opinion, they can be ranked in order of goodness as follows:
1)"On, Off"
This book is one of the best detective stories I've ever read. All the suspects worked in the neurology research center in 1965-1966. The whole time I was reading, I suspected one Japanese who worked there. But I couldn't help thinking what the truth is that will be fully revealed in the last pages. But you'll have to read to the end to find out;
2)"Too Many Murders"
Also interesting, good detective. The story creates a sense of wonder. How can you not be surprised? While reading, I was plagued by questions and speculations about who and why decided to kill 12 people in one day;
3)"The Podrigal son"-there are no translation to Lithuanian language
Interesting detective story when mysterious killer uses poisons from puffer fish and and a puzzling connection to a non-fiction book;
4)"Naked Cruelty"-there are no translation to Lithuanian language
Story about mysterious man who rapes the girls and when one of them decides to tell the police about the incident, the mysterious raper kills his next victim.
I think order according to kindness, the order would be as follows.
It would be interesting to know if anyone has read these detectives, what is your opinion about them:)
