Soft and fluffy bhatura recipe

Hello foodies !

Welcome to my blog again. I am so glad that you are here. Hope you all are good and enjoying your life with tasty and yummy food.

In my previous blog i shared the recipe of chickpeas curry ( chola) , which is a famous Indian food and can enjoy with fluffy bhatura . Today i would like to share the recipe of bhatura.

Bhatura is a deep fried bread made by all-purpose flour, curd , semolina, salt and sugar. There are many ways to make fluffy and delicious bhatura which is a great combination with chole ( chickpeas curry).

I tried many ways to make this popular recipe and Last month I got a perfect recipe of bhatura, which made the bhatura very fluffy and tasty. I watch a youtube recipe where i saw the use of semolina. Ingredients to be taken in right proportion, give some efforts and time to fermentation and make the perfect bhruta and enjoy this with northa- indian famous food chole.

INGREDIENTS ✅

  • All-purpose flour 3 cup
  • Semolina 3/4 cup
  • Salt 2 tsp
  • Sugar 2 tsp
  • Curd 3/4 cup
  • Baking soda : 1 pinch
  • Oil 1 tbsp

METHOD ✅

Step 1 :

First take semolina, soak it in water and leave for 10 minutes.

After 10 minutes, semolina looks like that, now starin all excess water with the strainer.

Step 2 :

On the other hand take a big vassel or a big mixing bowl , add all purpose flour, soaked semolina, salt, sugar, soda in it, mix all ingredients well.

Now with the help of curd and water make a dough, use water as minimum required and don't make a soft dough.

After that knead the dough for 7-8 minutes until it become soft. This is an important step to make perfect bhatura. And Grease some drop of oil , cover with a kitchen towel and rest for 2-4 hours for ferment.

Step 3 :

After 4 hours , divide the dough into small balls like it, and you can make whatever size you want.

Now flatten the bhatura with the help of rolling pin. I make it round but you can make it in ovel shape.

Step 4 :

On the other hand heat oil in a deep kadai and put bhatura in the hot oil and fry from the both side till it become golden brown .

And enjoy the bhatura with the chickpeas curry 😃😋.

Here is the link of the recipe of chickpea curry (chole ).
