Splinterlands - Season 132 Wrap Up!

Hello Splinterfans!

Season 132 has finished and it is a strange, sort of anti-climatic finish because now instead of chests with SPS or cards, we get just glints which doesn't have the same excitement about it as the chests did.

Not only that, but the places to track your performance and earnings no longer work, so you can only measure the success of your season by how many glints that you have gotten.

Apart from at the very start of the shop, I didn't spend any glints yet and am stacking them for something useful to buy. Currently I have 118k and am thinking to wait until I get 1m glint to buy the rare title The Proven.

I still need some soulbound cards but buying these draw things is not my thing and yeah, so I haven't done it yet. Overall, I cannot say that I am a fan of glints or the reward shop. I think that it is cool that there can be other objects now and we are not bombarded with potions and stuff, but I prefer the chests and building up my soulbound cards and opening chests with different rewards.

Hopefully, there might be some changes in the future that will make it more appealing. Until then, we have to live with it.

I try to play around 5-10 games per day in modern and this season managed to only just get to silver II. I had some horrible losing streaks of around 8 games in a row a few times which isn't so fun against maxed out decks. I am not sure how the algo is working there. You can see my win ratio is well under 50%.

This season I have made some additions to my deck and started to get my first rebellion cards. Still I am not using them very much and this is because I am not used to them and they are all level 1 so far, which is too weak!

With the ruleset changed, I also need to consider upgrading some of my key cards to max level which I sort of slowed down on doing. Some cards are missing key abilities now that we can play max level any time. Also, many of my legendaries are at level 3 and would now need to be upgraded to level 4. Whilst it is nice to have maxed out cards, I can understand the frustration of some players when you think about the expense of this.

My bot managed to get into Champion III again and earned the majority of my glint. As I cannot climb up the league so easily in modern, the earnings are far better in wild for me at the moment.

My staked SPS has increased to 78 557 (78 273). This is much lower than previous seasons. I do not unstake any and keep stacking.

There has been some GUI improvements that look like it will be easier for new players to join and play easier. I quite like the new look and welcome changes to make the gaming experience more fun.

This season I start off in Bronze I again and it will be interesting to see where I will end up. Hopefully at least to the gold league is my aim.
