My Entry Monomad Challenge #239 - The story of a coconut shell burning worker
Hello Hiver in Black And White Community Lover
My entry this time is some pictures of black and white Photos
In my post this time. I will share stories and photos about a young man who works on the process of burning coconut shells for raw materials for briquettes in rural areas. A few weeks ago, I went to the hinterland with a friend, namely @azwar.ipank with the aim of looking for photo objects about community activities. As usual, we as journalists, of course, are always looking for news to broadcast to the media where we work.ways looking for news to broadcast to the media where we work.
At that time, we were walking on my friend's motorbike. The sun was very hot at that time. However, they still have to go to remote areas to take photos of the activities of the people there. The place we visited was where the coconut shells were burned for the raw material for briquettes. The place is about 1 hour drive from the city. After traveling about 1 hour we arrived at the location. From a distance it is already visible location. Because of the smoke rising from the coconut shell burning process. We continued to drive the vehicle to immediately arrive at the location.ive the vehicle to arrive at the location immediately.
When we got there, we saw a man working to carry coconut shells to burn in the kiln. This location was deliberately made from a distance from residential areas. Because the smoke can disturb the surrounding community. The wind was blowing very hard and occasionally changed direction. In the hot sun a worker pushes his cart containing coconut shells into the burning tub.
Despite the heat and puffs of smoke that seemed to envelop the man. However, the man seemed not to care about it. He continued to work by throwing coconut shells into a kiln filled with fire and smoke. Pain and heat may be used to the man. Because he still has to work to go through the process of burning coconut shells into charcoal. Well, the burning process is approximately 6 hours. That is if there are no problems with the combustion process.
Coconut shells that have been burned and turned into charcoal, the next day will be sorted and put in sacks and sold to markets in urban areas. Besides being sold in the market, it is also exported to foreign countries through ports. Usually coconut shell charcoal is exported to Malaysia and Thailand. he said. Well, what's unique about this process is that the combustion method is still using traditional or conventional methods. They do not have technological tools such as the use of furnaces in the combustion process.
So, that's the short story of my journey about the story of a man who works in a puff of smoke in the countryside. Hopefully this short story can be a motivation for all of us. That in our activities, we must be diligent and diligent in doing it and one day we will reap the results of the work and efforts that we do.
