My Entry Monomad Challenge #226 - Traditional thatched leaf roof craftsmen
Hello Hiver in Black And White Community Lover
My entry this time is some pictures of black and white Photos
As always, I'll be entering a black and white photography challenge contest in this wonderful community. This is my 226th post here. Well, this time I want to show you some photos of a woman at work.
This woman's name is "Laibah." She is about 65 years old. Even though she is old, this woman is still enthusiastic about weaving the roof from thatch leaves every day. This work has been carried out for approximately 8 years. The woman said to me.
I've been wanting to photograph this woman for a long time. However, I have not had time to visit this location. Today I happen to have some free time. So I went straight to where this old lady worked every day.
Under a hut that has no walls and a thatched roof, the woman works. His hands occasionally grabbed piles of thatch leaves and put them together to be sewn into a roof. The results of this woven roof are sold to people in need. Well, one sheet of the roof of the craft is sold for Rp. 7000,-/sheet.
After I finished photographing all the activities of this woman. As usual, I always interview him. According to him, he chose this job because it was to meet the economic needs of his family. This work is also assisted by her husband. The main reason was because her husband could no longer work outside. Previously her husband worked at the port. However, due to an accident at work, his eyes became blurry to this day. Therefore, they chose this job. He said to me again.
Setelah aku selesai memotret semua kegiatan wanita ini. Seperti biasa, aku selalu mewawancarainya.
Well, the conclusion and the lesson I can take behind this woman's story is that we still have a strong body and soul. Must be eager to do whatever our job is. And keep trying and be grateful for what we have. Never give up let alone we despair when we experience failure.
Jangan pernah menyerah apalagi kita berputus asa ketika mengalami suatu kegagalan.
Thus the short story that I wrote on this occasion. Hopefully this short article will be motivational and useful for all of us.

At a very old age, he is still working, becoming a thatched roof craftsman. He is a great inspiration to all of us, striving hard to meet the demands of the harsh economy. The conclusion that we can draw from him here teaches us, age is not an obstacle to keep trying hard.
Very good content, I love this.
