I won against my Idol!
Hello Splinterlands Community! Hi Splinter Fam! Welcome! Today, I want to share with you a match that I have been waiting for a long time. I've faced one of the best players in Splinterlands, Facebook and Twitch streamer, YouTube blogger and my idol @leveluplifeph.
Combat Rules:
This is a Silver League Battle (Modern Format) with a 34 mana cap and the rules are Target Practice (All Ranged and Magic attack Monsters have the Snipe ability) and Noxious Fumes (All Monsters start the battle Poisoned).
Available Splinters: All elements except for the Dragon.
Battle
This is a battle of Fire🔥 and Death🏴☠️ Element.
With 2 monsters with Immunity Ability (This monster is immune to negative status effects)
Line Up
Monster | Position | |
---|---|---|
3⭐Tarsa | Summoner(+1melee and +1HP)buffed melee monsters and gives additional health. | |
1⭐ Grum Flameblade | Tank(4 melee attack, 1 speed, 5 armor and 10HP) with **Bloodlust (Every time it defeats an opponent, it gets +1 to all stats in the Reverse Speed ruleset,-1 to Speed) and Void Armor (Magic attacks hit this Monster's armor before its Health) | |
1⭐ Scorch Fiend | Filler(1 melee attack, 2 speed and 1 HP) 1 hit last resort tank 0 mana also known as a meat shield and bait for Opportunity monster. | |
2⭐ Forgotten One | Secondary Tank(4melee attack, 2 speed, 5 armor and 9 HP) with Immunity ability my other tank just in case Grum won't last long in this battle. I also put it in 3rd position for him to not take damage before his time to fight. | |
2⭐ Spirit Hoarder | Support(1 magic attack, 1 speed and 3 HP)with Triage (Heals the friendly back-line Monster that has taken the most damage) and Dispel ability (When this monster hit an enemy, it clears all positive status effects on that enemy) bait for range and magic monster because of Target Practice rule. | |
4⭐ Scavo Chemist | Support with Cleansed ability (Removes all negative effects on the Monster in the first position on the friendly team) remove the poisoned effect in Grum Flameblade. | |
3⭐ Tenyii Striker | Dps/Sneak (3 melee attack, 3 speed and 6 HP) with Sneak ability (Targets the last Monster on the enemy Team instead of the first Monster) I choose Sneak Monster in this battle for the damage dealers of my opponents and also because most of my opponent with this rule they position their monster with Immunity at the very last position. |
In our lineup, we focused on Sustainability and Survival in this battle against the poison and the damage of our enemy. We only have 5 melee damage in the tank, 1 magic damage and 4 sneak attacks and the rest are support to Sustain the HP of our monster.
Let's see our opponent's cards:
Our opponent brings:
- Thaddeus Brood - Reduced enemies monster with 1 magic damage and 1 hit point.
- Harklaw - Tank (2 melee damage, 2 speed, 3 armor and 9 hit points) with Immunity and Shield (Reduced damage from Melee and Ranged attacks) Abilities.
- Djinn Muirat - Dps (2 magic damage, 2 speed, 4 armor and 8 HP) with Void Armor, Knock Out, (Does double damage when attacking an enemy that is stunned) and Giant Killer(Does double damage against targets that cost 10 or more mana) this monster deals 4 magic damage in Grum Flameblade (11 mana)
- Magi Necrosi - Dps ( 3 magic damage, 4 speed and 5 HP) with Snipe & Camouflage (This Monster cannot be targeted for attacks unless it's in the first position)
- Lira the Dark - Dps ( 3 range attack, 6 speed and 6 HP) with Opportunity ( Monsters with the Opportunity ability may attack from any position and will target the enemy Monster with the lowest health) and Snare (When attacking enemies with Flying, removes the Flying ability and cannot miss) in this battle the Opportunity ability of this monster won't effect because of Target Practice rule it prioritizes the Snipe ability.
Our foe focuses on a Fast game/battle, he wanted to end the game as soon as possible with the help of the Poison, he prepared high-damage monsters and heavy hitters with decent HP. 2 melee attack, 5 magic damage (7 magic damage when Giant Killer activated), and 3 range attack.
Let's see what will be the result of this battle.
Round 1
Starts with buffing and debuff of all summoners and monsters.
My strategy here why I pick Spirit Hoarder is to heal the Tenyii Striker if the poison will take effect it's sad to say that Spirit Hoarder is the one to be eliminated. The good thing here is I positioned the Spirit Hoarder before Scavo Chemist, he was not immediately attacked by the range and magic dealer of the opponents and fortunately, Scavo Chemist was able to remove the poison from Grum Flameblade before he died at the hands of Magi Necrosi and Djinn Muirat.
Tenyii Striker attacked Lira the Dark but his damage wasn't enough.
Round 2
Poisoned take effect. All monsters take 2 damage except for Harklaw, Grum Flameblade and Forgotten One.
Lira the Dark and Scorch Fiend died due to poison.
Both tanks are still alive, Grum Flameblade with 5 HP and Harklaw has no damage received yet.
Round 3
The Poison take effect. Tenyii Striker still has 2 HP, Djinn Muirat with 4 HP and 1HP for Magi Necrosi.
Magi Necrosi attacked Grum and inflict 3 magic damage leaving Grum with 1 HP.
Tenyii Striker take the life of Djinn Muirat.
Harklaw killed Grum and Forgotten One takes the tank position and avenged Grum's loss.
Round 4
Poison take effect. Tenyii Striker and Magi Necrosi fall this time.
It's now 1 vs. 1 Harklaw vs. Forgotten One. We had our advantage here in the melee attack and in the HP. Harklaw takes 3 melee damage while our Forgotten One takes only 2.
Round 5
It's the final round. Forgotten One knocked out the Harklaw. And we are Victorious!
