Splinterland's Tips for Beginners [ES/EN]
Saludos y bienvenidos a un nuevo #SocialMediaChallenge en #Splinterlands, esta semana se repite la tematica de los tips para principiantes y quise abordar un tema que segun yo, es bastante importante, y es que desde que salieron los invocadores soulbound y su habilidad que permite invocar gladiadores, Quora Towershead empezó a tener mucho mas protagonismo en el juego, aun asi en el formato anterior (antes de Rebellion) no se le veia tanto spam a esta carta como si ocurre ahora, donde se ha vuelto una de las cartas mas potentes de todo el meta y por ende, una de las mas utilizadas.
El problema radica es que en un nuevo jugador muy probablemente no va a tener esta carta, pues no hay ninguna otra forma de tenerla mas que sacarla de algun pack Gladius, y ya eso por si solo no es algo comun, pues es una carta epica, hay que abrir MUCHOS de estos packs o tener mucha suerte para encontrarla. y por si solo farmear los packs Gladius no es algo sencillo. En fin, es complicado. Y enfrentarla es aun mas complicado, es una carta potentisima, para mi la mas potente de todo el juego.
Pero algo excelente de este juego y que a mi me gusta mucho, es que no importa lo rota que este una carta, no es invencible. De eso es de lo que yo voy a hablarles en este post, asi que ponganse comodos y presten mucha atencion.
Greetings to all and welcome to a new #SocialMediaChallenge in #Splinterlands and my Hive blog, this week we repeat the theme of tips for beginners on this Social Media and I wanted to address a topic that according to me, is quite important, and is that since the soulbound summoners and their ability to summon gladiators came out, Quora Towershead began to have much more prominence in the game, even so in the previous format (before Rebellion) this card was not spammed as much as it is now, where it has become one of the most powerful cards in the meta and therefore, one of the most used.
The problem with this is that a new player will most likely not have this card, because there is no other way to have it but to get it from a Gladius pack, and that alone is not something common, because it is an epic card, you have to open MANY of these packs or be very lucky to find it, and by itself farm Gladius packs is not something simple. Anyway, it's complicated. And facing it is even more complicated, it is a very powerful card, for me the most powerful of the whole game.
But something excellent about this game and that I like a lot, is that no matter how broken a card is, it is not invincible. That's what I'm going to talk about in this post, so make yourselves comfortable and pay close attention.
Puntos a considerar
Antes de empezar a crear estrategias para vencer a esta carta tenemos que estudiar un poco el juego, como deberia ser con cada estrategia. Primero empezamos a descartar lo basico, por ejemplo, que solo puede ser invocada cuando el splinter Tierra esta disponible, asi como que hay rulesets que no permiten su uso, especificamente cinco, Lost Magic, Keep Your Distance, Little League, Odds Ones Out y Rise of the Commons:
Y al menos otros dos que si bien no prohiben su uso, si que le quitan muchisima utilidad y hace que sea un poco imprudente el uso de Quora, hablo de Healed Out y Back to Basics:
Asi que de entrada tenemos al menos 7 rulesets en los que Quora no va a estar y no debemos preocuparnos por ella, pero nos queda entonces preocuparnos por los demas...

En cualquiera de los otros rulesets Quora no tiene ninguna desventaja real, de hecho muchos de ellos lo que hacen es darle aun mas potencia, pero no nos adelantemos. Sigamos revisando datos.
Sabemos que para que Quora aparezca en una batalla sin el ruleset Are You're Not Entertained? hay que usar entonces a Lobb Lowland (que cuesta 6 puntos de mana) e invocar a la propia Quora, que vale 10 puntos de mana, de entrada un oponente necesita 16 puntos de mana disponibles para invocarla, y segun mi criterio y mi opinion, invocar a Quora en una batalla de -22 Mana es una ruleta rusa, una completa loteria.
Esto lo saben muchos de los jugadores asi que es probable que en una batalla de este estilo, independientemente del ruleset, no enfrentes a Quora.

We know that for Quora to appear in a battle without the ruleset Are You're Not Entertained? you have to use Lobb Lowland (which costs 6 mana points) and summon Quora itself, which is worth 10 mana points, so an opponent needs 16 mana points available to summon it, and according to my criteria and my opinion, summoning Quora in a -22 Mana battle is a Russian roulette, a complete lottery.
Many players on the game know this fact, so it is likely that in a battle of this style of mana cap, regardless of the ruleset, you will not face Quora.
La intuicion es muy importante
Y esto aplica no solo para Quora si no para todas las batallas en este juego, a menos que seas un robot te va a hacer imposible crear una alineacion perfecta para cada splinter, en cada nivel de mana, en cada ruleset y luego en cada combinacion de ruleset... por si no lo has pensando nunca, la cantidad de combinaciones distintas es un numero tan grande que ni siquiera lo podrias leer...
Para un ser humano es simplemente imposible recordar cada una de las posibles combinaciones, pero al dominar el conocimiento de lo que hace cada ruleset y sumado eso al mana, podemos empezar a descartar opciones y quedarnos con las que creemos que son las mejores, por lo que intuir bien al oponente (sobre todo usando sus ultimas partidas para tener una idea de con que nos puede salir) y algo de improvisacion, nos saldra un equipo ganador. Suena complicado pero no lo es para nada, partida a partida vamos a ir mejorando esto, asi que practica mucho.

And this applies not only for Quora Towershead but for all the battles in this game, unless you are a robot or a computer it will be impossible for you to create a perfect alignment for every splinter, in every mana level, in every ruleset and then in every ruleset combination... in case you have never thought about it, the amount of different combinations is such a big number that you can't even read it...
For a human being it is simply impossible to remember each of the possible combinations on this game, but by mastering the knowledge of what each ruleset does and adding that to the mana cap of the battle and the splinters, we can start to discard options and stay with the ones we think are the best, so intuiting well the opponent (especially using his last games to have an idea of what we can come up with) and some improvisation, we will come up with a winning team. It sounds complicated but it is not at all, game by game we will be improving this, so practice a lot.

Hay ciertas habilidades en el juego que sirven mucho para enfrentar a Quora, uno de sus puntos mas fuertes es la capacidad que tiene para curarse, y si le quitas eso, pierde mucho potencial. Su mejor habilidad es su Bloodlust, sin duda, y para eso no hay nada que pueda servir de counter, mas que usar cartas con mucha vida. Las habilidades Void, Void Armor y Shield serviran mucho y si una carta combina algunas de estas sera espectacular para enfrentar a Quora. Chain Golem y Robo-Dragon Knight son dos excelentes ejemplos:
Por otro lado, la habilidad Afliction ayudara a evitar su curacion, usar a Mimosa Nightshade es la mejor forma de hacer esto, porque le da esa habilidad a todas tus cartas, haciendo que se active mas facil, ademas de tambien darle Void a tus cartas, el problema es que Mimosa ya no esta permitida en formato Modern, pero hay muchas cartas que si tienen esta habilidad, aunque en rango Bronce hay solo 2 que la tienen, asi que son importantisimas: Doctor Blight y Rush Townsend. Yo me quedo con el primero porque tiene tambien Camouflage, con lo cual evita ser atacado en la segunda linea, ademas cuesta solo 4 puntos de mana, un poco caro, si, pero muy util.

On the other hand, the Afliction ability will help you a lot to avoid the Quora's healing, using Mimosa Nightshade is the best way to do this, because it gives that ability to all your cards, making it easier to activate, besides also giving Void to your cards, the problem is that Mimosa is no longer allowed in Modern format, but there are many cards that do have this ability, although in Bronze rank there are only 2 that have it, so they are very important: Doctor Blight and Rush Townsend. Aqui me aprovecho del ruleset para usar en Quora una habilidad que le ayuda muchisimo, Martyr, y esta batalla es una prueba de que si Quora te toma desprevenido te va a barrer por completo. Son pocas las alineaciones no preparadas para enfrentar a esta carta que pueden vencerla y esta, no es una de ellas.

Fire & Regret - 21 Mana Cap
Revisar las ultimas batallas del oponente te ayudan a saber si viene usando a Quora, y si es ese el caso, JAMAS uses una carta como Fungus Fiend, y menos en primera posicion, pues muere de un solo golpe y eso activara el Bloodlust de Quora, haciendola mas fuerte desde el principio de la batalla sin ningun motivo positivo para tu equipo.

Fire & Regret - 23 Mana Cap
Aqui mi oponente me bailo por completo a Quora, usando un tanque con Void para aguantar el daño, y respondiendo con una carta Gladius tambien del splinter Tierra que puede ser muy potente tambien, ya que tiene Double Strike, sube su ataque melee con Tane Newsong y esa combinacion la hace acabar de un golpe con mis cartas, aumentando mas su poder y dejandola mas que preparada para enfrentar a Quora. Mi error estuvo en usar dos cartas con ataque a distancia en ese ruleset, pero de igual manera la estrategia del enemigo esta muy bien planteada y es un gran ejemplo de como derrotar a Quora Toweshead.

My mistake was in using two cards with ranged attack in that ruleset, but anyway the enemy's strategy is very well thought out and is a great example of how to defeat Quora Toweshead.
Conclusiones
Como dije desde el principio, Quora no es una carta invencible, pero si muy poderosa, por eso es importante tanto aprender a utilizarla bien como aprender a enfrentarla, me recuerda mucho a lo que en su tiempo fue el Djinn Oshannus junto a Alric Stormbringer, o antes de eso, Kron the Undiying con Scarred Llama Mage, el juego siempre ha tenido combinaciones muy fuertes pero no te desanimes, por imposible que parezca, cualquier alineacion se puede vencer, solo hay que aplicar la estrategia correcta.
Conclusions
As I said from the beginning, Quora is not an invincible card, but a very powerful one, that's why it is important to learn how to use it well as well as to learn how to face it, it reminds me a lot of what in its time was the Djinn Oshannus with Alric Stormbringer, or before that, Kron the Undiying with Scarred Llama Mage, the game has always had very strong combinations but do not be discouraged, as impossible as it may seem, any alignment can be beaten, you just have to apply the right strategy.
