Do not rely on the armored up ruleset!

¡Dicen que un buen mago nunca revela sus secretos! Pero en Splinterlands no es así, y esta semana viene un nuevo capitulo de battle Mage Secrets. Esta semana nos toca uno de los rulesets mas interesantes de todos, el llamado Armored Up, uno que nos amplia mucho las estrategias posibles y que se tiene que pensar con cuidado, asi que no esperemos mas y vamos con el post.

People say a good mage never reveals his secrets to anyone! But in the Splinterlands world it is not so, and this week comes with a a new chapter of battle Mage Secrets. This week we have one of the most interesting rulesets of all, the so-called Armored Up, one that broadens the possible strategies and that you have to think carefully, so let's not wait any longer and let's go with the post.
Armored Up
Con este ruleset se puede hacer muy complejo todo, pues lo que hace es otorgarle dos puntos de armadura a todas las cartas presentes en la batalla desde el inicio de la batalla. Un bono que por si solo parece bastante simple pero su complejidad está en todas esas cartas que se potencian del hecho de recibir armadura, que creeme, son bastantes.
¿Cómo le sacas provecho a este ruleset?
Este ruleset hace que la batalla se vuelva defensiva aunque no tu lo quieras, y hay varias maneras de sacarle provecho real, la mas sencilla de todas es utilizar a Wizard of Eastwood porque este invocador anula por completo el ruleset, y también lo puedes hacer usando la habilidad Rust.
Por otro lado, puedes si bien enfocarte en sacarle provecho a la armadura o usar el Splinter tierra para combinar el bono de Wizard of Eastwood con una alineacion defensiva. La estrategia de Taunt con el Splinter vida es excelente con este ruleset. Pero como dije, en general tiene un abanico de posibilidades muy amplio.
With this ruleset you can make everything very complex, because what it does is to give two points of armor to all the cards present in the battle from the beginning of the battle. A bonus that by itself seems quite simple but its complexity lies in all those cards that are boosted by the fact of receiving armor, which believe me, there are quite a few.
How do you take advantage of this ruleset?
This ruleset will make the battle become in a defensive way even if you don't want to do it, and there are several ways on the game to take real advantage of it, the simplest of all is to use Wizard of Eastwood because this summoner completely cancels the ruleset, and you can also do it using the Rust ability.
On the other hand, you can either focus your lineup on taking advantage of the armor or use the Splinter Earth to combine the Wizard of Eastwood bonus with a defensive alignment based on the armor. The Taunt strategy with the Splinter life is excellent with this ruleset. But as I said, in general it has a very wide range of possibilities.
Este ruleset a mi me gusta mucho porque como ya mencione, es muy versátil, así que lo que yo hago cuando me aparece es aplicar una estrategia basada en el resto de condiciones de la batalla y no la del ruleset como tal, es decir veo esos 2 puntos de armadura como un bonus para una posible estrategia y voy mas con cartas de alto HP. Debes saber que la habilidad Piercing es excelente para este tipo de batallas, junto con el ataque mágico.
I really like this ruleset a lot because as I mentioned above, it is very versatile on the way of use it, so what I do when it appears is to apply a strategy based on the rest of the battle conditions and not the ruleset as such, I see those 2 points of armor as a bonus for a possible strategy and I go more with high HP cards. You should know that the Piercing ability is excellent for this kind of battles, together with the magic attack.
Counterspell + Healed Out + Armored Up; 38 Mana cap
Round 1
Mi oponente habia utilizado mucho a Grandmaster Rathe en sus batallas y con bono de armadura era mas que obvio que iba a hacerlo otra vez, por eso yo decidi ir ofensivo con gran ataque y nada mejor para eso que Tarsa.
Exploding Rats es de mis cartas preferidas en oro, con su habilidad Redemption le puede hacer counter al ruleset y con esa velocidad endemoniada es segurisimo que atacará primero. Es un hit n' go.
Forgotten One va a ser importantisimo en la batalla por la alta cantidad de vida que tiene, ese potente ataque y sobre todo su habilidad Piercing.
Como Exploding Rats seguro caera en la primera ronda, es bueno usar a Radiated Brute para que apoye con su Reach.
Molten Ash Golem le dará durabilidad a mi equipo con su alta vida, y Weaken es una habilidad de apoyo que siempre es bienvenida.
Tenyii Striker tiene que estar si o si en todas las batallas que uso con Fuego, es quizas la carta que mas uso con este splinter y las razones sobran. Ese Sneak siempre es bueno tenerlo.
La idea de Blood Maker es que vaya debilitando a los oponentes que golpee para que mis otras cartas tengan un trabajo mas sencillo.
My opponent had used Grandmaster Rathe a lot as summoner in his last five battles and with the armor bonus it was more than obvious that he was going to do it again, so I decided to go offensive with a great attack and nothing better for that than Tarsa.
Exploding Rats is one of my favorite cards in gold rank for Redemption, with his Redemption ability he can counter the Armored Up ruleset and with that speed is sure to attack first. It's a hit n' go.
Forgotten One is going to be very important in the battle because of the high amount of health it has, its powerful attack and above all its Piercing ability.
As Exploding Rats will surely fall in the first round, it is good to use Radiated Brute to support him with his Reach.
Molten Ash Golem will give durability to my whole team with its high amount of life, and Weaken ability is a support ability that is always welcome.
Tenyii Striker has to be in all the battles I can use him with Fire Splinter, it is perhaps the card I use the most with this splinter and the reasons abound. That Sneak is always good to have.
The idea of use Blood Maker at the end of my lineup is to weaken the opponents he hit with the Cripple so that my other cards have an easier job.
Round 2
El plan marchó con total normalidad, mi Exploding Rats hizo su trabajo de buena manera haciéndole daño con su blast y luego con el daño a la armadura. Un error de mi oponente fue alinear tantas cartas de daño mágico en un ruleset que le provoca daño a ese tipo de ataques, eso me dio muchísima ventaja a mi. Aunque la batalla empezó con ventaja para mi oponente, la realidad es que la ventaja era mia pues sacrificar a Exploding Rats era parte de mi estrategia.
The plan of my lineup went smoothly, my Exploding Rats did their job very well here, doing damage with their blast and then with armor damage. My opponent's mistake was to line up so many magic damage cards in a ruleset that deals damage to that kind of attacks, that gave me a huge advantage. Although the battle started with an advantage for my opponent, the reality is that the advantage was mine because sacrificing Exploding Rats was part of my strategy.
Round 3
Forgotten One se convirtió en el MVP de la partida eliminando a 3 cartas en la misma ronda, y pudieron haber sido cuatro, pero fallo su Retaliate contra Celestial Harpy. El piercing fue importantisimo porque gracias a eso pudo eliminar de un solo golpe a Adelade Brightwing sentenciando asi la batalla y dandome la victoria, pues aunque murió en la ronda siguiente, el daño del primer ruleset eliminó tambien a Time Mage.
Forgotten One became the MVP of the game eliminating 3 cards in the same round, and it could have been four, but he failed his Retaliate against Celestial Harpy. The piercing was very important because thanks to it he could eliminate Adelade Brightwing with a single hit, thus sentencing the battle and giving me the victory, because although he died in the next round, the damage of the first ruleset also eliminated Time Mage.
Round 4
Ya no habia nada mas que hacer para el equipo oponente. El daño combinado de mi equipo fue demasiado alto para su poder defensivo. Ademas incluir a Exploding Rats arruinó por completo la estrategia de mi enemigo, que era revivir a Uriel.
There was nothing more for the opposing team to do on this battle. My team's combined melee damage was too high for their defensive power. In addition to this, including Exploding Rats completely ruined my enemy's strategy, which was to revive Uriel.
Entender los puntos debiles donde le puedes sacar ventaja a tu enemigo es primordial para convertirte en un buen jugador ¡enfocate en mejorar eso y veras como tu winrate aumentará muchisimo!
