Limitless

I have seen people who limit themselves just because they think life is supposed to be simple and live in a certain way.

Many people today want to just have a house of their own, a car of their own and have kids. Anything apart from that to them is far-fetched.

Limiting oneself to a certain level of growth and personal development is what is hindering numerous talented men and women out there.

Today I was speaking with a friend of mine who was telling me about how he’s been looking for a job or work that can help him sustain himself since he’s not getting job offers for his hand work like he used to.

He’s a decorator, and he helps people to decorate their homes and event centres. This is an excellent handwork to learn, however, these types of works also have their season.

When it’s getting to the end of the year when people are doing plenty of events and building houses, this is when he gets about 90% of his job offers for the year.

This has made him go for months without working even though he’s got his expenses covered because he lives with his parents.

I think due to this, he’s becoming more and more comfortable that he didn't want to try his hands on something else that could serve as another source of income.

But then today he told me he’s in a tight spot and asked me if I have some ideas on some things he could be doing to at least earn a decent amount of money for basic things like data and clothes.

With that being said, I told him my only advice right now is for him to learn an online skill, for example, web design, automation, email marketing and many more.

But immediately I said this he didn’t stop to give it a thought, but he said he’s not experienced or knowledgeable about computers and anything related.

To cut the long story short, he just wanted something he could do offline even if it brings him pennies per month.

To me, this is a perfect example of self-limitation because knowledge is all about learning and applying what you’ve learned. And all you need to do is take it slow and steady.

Every so often we humans don’t know how much potential we have until we strive to push ourselves above our previous level. This is now when we surprise ourselves because we might begin to like something we thought we didn’t like from the start. We can also become a master of a skill we thought was hard before.

I don’t know about a lot of things, but I’ve tried so many things I thought I wouldn’t like before, and I’m usually surprised when I realise that they start getting easier, and I also start liking them.

In life, we can become whatever we put our mind to as long as we keep trying and not limiting ourselves to a certain level.

Be limitless frens
