Mysteries and questions in “From”
Those who already know me know that I am a fan of horror and science fiction movies and series, however, I have repeatedly expressed my dissatisfaction with the amount of content and productions that are created generically and without leaving anything to the viewer. There are few series and movies that in recent years really left things to talk about or that were memorable. Now, I must say that it is complex to find material that is totally perfect because although it is true that in general it can be considered good, there are times when the plot or the story deviates from its essence and in that sense we can find stretches of movies or episodes of series that leave much to be desired, but we can delve into that in another post.
From is a series produced by MGM+ and directed by Jack Bender, Alexandra La Roche and Bruce McDonald, I mention several directors since they took turns between chapters, among all these directors I only recognized Bender since he directed several chapters of the series Lost. The genre is horror and fantasy and the last episode of the 3rd season was recently aired. As far as the main characters are concerned, I only recognized Harold Perrineau who was also in Lost and The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions, the rest were all unknown to me.
For those who do not know what the series “From” is about, it takes us to a town called Fromville, where dozens of people who arrived there by chance, but then could not leave, to be more specific, were people who were traveling a road, but after running into a fallen tree, decided to return only to realize that they began to go around in circles, so they had no choice but to get to the only existing town that is fromville.
Once there, they received the difficult news that there is nowhere to go, so beyond their disbelief and horror, they ended up getting used to living there with the other people who arrived there under the same circumstances. But this is not only a town with no way out, besides that, the inhabitants must take shelter in houses or closed places during the night because, when the sun goes down, terrifying beings come out to the streets looking to kill those who are roaming unprotected, likewise, those who are sheltered at home must be under the protection of a talisman that prevents the beings from entering the houses.
Thus, under the aforementioned circumstances, the people who live in Fromville must organize themselves to live day by day and to face the night creatures if necessary. It is a real nightmare what the citizens live and that is obvious, nobody knows what this place is, much less know how to get out, so the mystery and the questions reign in their minds. But there are some who try to investigate to draw their own conclusions or to try to escape and even a woman manages to do so, only to realize that it seems to be her destiny to return there.
There are many things I could write about this series, but I think it would become boring for you, so the invitation is that you watch it so you can experience the mysteries that surround the plot of this particular series in the right way.
The truth is that From arrived a few years ago and from the first moment it clicked with a large number of viewers who were eager to see something different. This intriguing story is full of interesting mysteries that keep us on the edge of our seats, but it is also true that in many moments it sins in tangling the plot to the point of boring us since everything can become a little heavy. Another aspect of the series that can be criticized corresponds precisely to this third season that has just ended and is that of the ten chapters I could say that only two had good rhythm, the rest no chapter added absolutely nothing and frankly that made me lose interest for almost the entire season. However, it seems that everything was planned for the series to give the interesting twist that we were waiting for in the last chapter of the season, there things really got interesting.
I think this series has the quality that “Lost” had in its time, the secrets, the mysteries, the intrigue and the climate that is generated around the plot and the characters, all that makes us feel interested to know what is behind Fromville and the terrible creatures that plague the unfortunate citizens. So, I invite you to watch “From” so you can taste for yourself that distinctive touch that so many moviegoers are looking for in recent years. It was a pleasure to share!

I've already seen this series up to where it's been taken, and although I found it very interesting at first, I think it's gradually wearing thin. It certainly has that mystery of the "Lost" series, and even has one of its main characters among its main characters.
It's true, little by little it has been losing that sparkle that made it interesting, but I'm afraid it has already caught us, so I'm sure I'll watch it until the end to find out what's behind those mysteries.
Just from the storyline I can tell it will be interesting, am not really into series movies cause it always gives me anxiety, but this story is something mysterious and I love mysteries
If you like mysteries then you might like this series, I hope you can watch it. I hope you can watch it.
I will check it out on Netflix
Definitely left me with a lot of mystery the review and the trailer, I liked that, I did not have the feeling that the trailer spoiled me everything haha, many times I avoid watching trailers for that reason 😅
I was struck by the variety of the mystery, at first glance out thought zombies but I see more things, even religious elements, that always aggravates me because the horror feeds very well on religion, I'll have to see if it really is so with the first season 😃... although I notice it declines in the third 😅
I avoid watching trailers because lately they reveal everything in a single minute, however, in this particular one you won't understand much, as it has become clear, the mysteries are not so easy to decipher.
I like sci-fi productions, though not horror ones hahaha. I agree now they don't put out quality content, be it movies or series, quality.
By the way I haven't seen this series, it's interesting even though it's not one of my favorite genres. I'll see if I watch it at some point.
Greetings.
