What I Ate Over the Weekend
Happy Sunday Foodies! I generally love weekends for I'm able to explore and eat foods that I don't usually eat every day. As I only stay in a boarding house, I settle for buying viand every meal as I don't have cooking materials. It's inconvenient as the boarding house isn't that big. The rice cooker is the only thing I have. Others use it to fry corned beef or meatloaf and make noodles but I dislike eating them.
I wanted to save but after eating those, I feel like I'm not full. My conscience would also hunt me reminding me that I'm not eating healthy.
For a change, we had a different dish yesterday. My boyfriend cooked fried chicken. It isn't from the market but their backyard. They are fond of raising chickens. And so, he got one and cooked it for lunch.
I would skip showing you how he got off the chicken's feathers as I think it's gross. We'll start with chopping the chicken into pieces and adding garlic. He massaged the garlic into the chicken.
Step 1
Step 2
He then added vinegar and salt. No soy sauce though. I tried appealing that there should be soy sauce but I'm not a good cook myself so I just let him be.
Step 3
Then, we rolled them into a plate of seasoning. Can "Crispy Fry" be categorized as seasoning? Hehe. You be the judge.
I'm already hungry so we got ice cream and bread. It's the perfect combination for me. I shouldn't eat cold foods with an empty stomach so I ate bread along with ice cream. I used to do this more often when I was young.
Tadaaaa
Food's ready
Here's the finished product. Native fried chicken for lunch. It's not that soft compared to the commercial fried chicken. But still, it's yummy and it fills our hungry tummies.
We also got tomatoes and onions for a salty side dish.
Ingredients
Fish Bagoong and Scrambled Egg
Fish Bagoong is perfect when paired with boiled cardava bananas. It's a staple food for Filipinos. We don't have bananas so we opted to pair them with rice and egg. Its saltiness fuels our appetite. We add more and more cups of rice.
Cotton Fruit/Santol for Dessert
My boyfriend loves fruit. Name it, he loves it. Anything he sees in the street, he buys. Anything he sees in their backyard, he picks. Pineapple, Indian Mango, Cotton Fruit/Santol, he loves them all. While I'm crazy over chips and junk foods, he's crazy over fruits and anything cold and sweet.
When I'm with him eating is fun and adventure. I get to try new foods and I surely got to eat fruits.
That's about it, friends!

Your boyfriend is so ma-effort ❤️. Naol nalang talaga hahaha.
Thank you. Haha sana Hindi magbago haha.
Pano ma claim ang pizza?
pumapasok na yata sa wallet yan nang kusa hahaha
Kagutom especially sa chicken, we are not able to eat chicken and poultry products for more than a month na gawa ng allergy ni baby. Hayyysss kasarap pa naman nyan.
Nangasim ako sa santol! HAHAHAH
Omyyy. Sacrifice muna for the baby. Kawawa naman. Prevention is better than cure.
