Not Your Photographer but a Store Attendant
Looking back, while the music plays. I’m thinking of the old days where life was simpler and easier. I was only using a mobile phone to capture beautiful moments glimpsed with my playful mind. Yeah, I used to be outside most of the time, so capturing moments could be anytime.
Life was indeed harder compared now, it seems a little bit better now but a smile wouldn’t be hard to find. It saddened me a little that when I now have the materials and gadgets, time is now the enemy. My time is limited or you could call it not for free. Fate really is a twisted one that we don’t have a choice to feel frustrated sometimes.
Yes, I don’t have much time to go outside and to market my sideline profession as a photographer. I’ve been eager to do a photo shoot even if it’s just a free one. A lot of things come into my mind when I get excited to shoot; Like the poise of a model to have a good look or the projections and reactions. I’d love to see those but unfortunately I’m just your store attendant.
2 years ago I think since I started this small store of ours. I can’t leave it just like that since this is the one that provides us dreams, mission, future and most of all, food. I can change professions of course but I understand now that this is the best for my source of income. I’m not a hardworking one, dedicated and flexible when it comes to working. That’s why, even though my time with this profession is not always free. I stick to it since it gives me a better future and a better present as of today.
So yeah, you can not always see me outside shooting but you can find me in the store or outside buying goods to sell. Maybe not your so good photographer because of lacking experience in photography. Even so, when I was outside shooting, I made sure I could provide you with the best draft or outcome you wanted. I’m sure everyone wants to be pretty or elegant in photos.
Though sometimes, no, I think as I’m holding my camera right now. I kind of miss seeing projected faces in the images. I think what I miss most is myself being happy capturing moments and recording them.
