In the Province
Despite how we are in high technology these days there are still places you can see what the old generation looks like. Yes, I'm talking about some provinces in other regions. They might enjoy the new generation or the high technology they are still living like in the old days.
A carabao in a plowing field instead of a handy tractor which makes things easier. Though using machines needs money to make it work. Well obviously, a machine like a tractor will not start without gasoline. Just imagine how much is worth in every liter of gasoline. It might be easier and faster in plowing a field but you need more money to spend.
Carabao is a popular animal in plowing a field in our country, the Philippines. Other animals like cows or horses can do it but according to the farmers I talked about. Carabao is stronger because by just one pass using a plow will create a deeper plowing field. It will lessen the work and the time because of it. Though a carabao will not work for a whole day when it's really hot. That's what I learned from the farmers about it because a carabao will stop walking when it's very hot.
Washing clothes outside by using a faucet. There are families who are not financially stable and will agree to have one faucet and just divide the expenses. It depends on how many families agree on it but of course, the faucet should be outside where it can be used easily.
This woman washing clothes right on the faucet was a scene that you could always see. If not hers then maybe a different one. This faucet belongs to the families who are currently living here.
Without farmers who are planting rice for sure, there will be no food satisfaction for Filipinos like me who can't feel full without it. Rice is the main food for me but maybe for most Filipinos because we've been growing up eating this kind of food since we're young.
Farming is indeed hard compared to those jobs working in offices; With a lower income as well because buyers will buy rice at a low price. However, the environment in this kind of job is healthier. Not too many toxic co-workers and no polluted workplace. That's why most farmers do have a healthy body thanks to their workplace environment.
For those who are wondering what they were doing. They were removing rice seedlings to be ready to plant when everything is done. I think I already shared how to plant rice so it's easier for you to understand.
What a beautiful sight seeing these workers smiling after the whole day's job. By the way, they were riding on an asymboled machine named turtle. This is an essential machine to make sure the rice field is flat or level. This is only its sole purpose and that is to be used in the rice field. Too bad I can't show you one that it's being used.
From what I understand, mud or a lot of the rice fields should be on the same level to avoid rotting the plants. Just imagine what will happen when the other part of the plot is higher and the other one is lower. That's why a turtle machine should be used.
This is the rice planted on a rice field. It's wide but looks like it has the same level as every part of the land. I don't understand but it looks pretty to me. Well, if you're in the province you can always see this kind of view.

I'm surprised that in your place, the traditional way of planting rice is still practiced, maybe the owner had a drainage system that supports water to the field, in my province, the farmers prefer savoy, or throwing those seedlings in the field and let the rice grow. Some farmers don't have enough money to buy gasoline and pump water from the wells to the field. Unlike before field owners pay other people to plant rice but now they are more practical to saboy those seedlings and wait for at least 5 to 6 months I think before the harvest.
Yeah, well, most riches owners use high-technology tools about planting rice. Most of the owners here are ordinary farmers so they use the old styles.
