Dozens of Iranian Schoolgirls Hospitalized due to Poisoning
A suspected new wave of poisoning attacks has seen dozens of Iranian schoolgirls hospitalized. This was followed by an outbreak of news from a local media outlet informing the public of what is happening now across five provinces in Iran. Irrespective of this breaking news, it was reported that as of last month, there was a massive wave of respiratory diseases, which were mainly found in the holy city of Qom, south of Tehran, as most of them were in much need of hospitalization.
The illnesses remain unexplained, and Iranian officials believe the girls may have been poisoned and have blamed Tehran’s enemies. The Tasnim and Mehr news agencies on Saturday reported the latest incidents in western Hamedan province, as well as Zanjan and West Azerbaijan in Iran’s northwest, Fars in the south, and Alborz province in the north. Dozens of students were transferred to local hospitals for treatment, the reports said source
Of great concern is this showing in the well-being of the nation, as this has prompted some loopholes and is at the same time an eye-opener to the nation as they may be in jeopardy due to the treatment of neighboring countries. Stating categorically, a large number of about 30 students have themselves been affected by this suspected poisoning in at least 10 provinces that have schools located all around that area.
According to the report by Iran’s deputy health minister, Younes Panahi, the attack was aimed at shutting down the education of female children, as on Wednesday, 10 girls were targeted for poisoning, of which seven were in the northwestern city of Ardabil and the remaining in the capital Tehran.
A great dilemma has this caused in the entire cities of Iran, which is leading to procuring pandemonium in that the schools were equipped with security cameras in and out of the country; then, how will the security operatives be there if there is an intruder who went so far as to poison the students, or is there something going on with the intruders and the security operatives?
The United Nations human rights office in Geneva called on Friday for a transparent investigation into the suspected attacks and countries including Germany and the United States have voiced concern source
Though there has been a great intervention from world authorities and other powers of governing that be concerning this effect, parents whose daughters are schooling in all the affected areas and beyond came to take their children home stating that until the main cause of this disaster is discovered no more schools for their children.
