Ethereum fees fall to a new low
Recently, after the launch of the “Dencun” upgrade, Ethereum fees decreased to record levels, as according to the platforms specialized in tracking Ethereum transaction fees, the average Ethereum gas fees fell to the level of 6 Gwei, and according to “Etherscan”, this is the lowest level since January 2020.
According to the same source, users can exchange assets for $5, while transferring via bridges costs $2, while for a fee of $9, users can mint non-fungible tokens (NFT) on Ethereum.
As we told us at the beginning of the article, the decrease in transaction fees on Ethereum is due to successive upgrades, the most recent of which is the Cancun-Deneb (Dencun) upgrade, which contributed significantly to reducing fees.
According to BitInfoCharts, fees decreased by 15 times after the recent upgrade to Ethereum, as fees fell from $30 to $2.
There is still more improvement, according to Vitalik Buterin, who suggested ideas for future upgrades that would reduce fees further.
