The history, the present, and the quest for a better country.

I have the opportunity to spend more time with my parents. Trust me, I love to ask my dad a lot of questions. Just like how my father will say that he bought a car worth three hundred naira, that wasn't even up to a dollar. We can approximate the three hundred naira in three times to one dollar. This same three hundred naira is what my dad used to buy a car.
Well, my dad is a car engineer, so trust me, he knows a lot about it.

He told me about how he used to buy cars, repair them, and resell them for better money.
Back then, the value of the naira was so high. Sometimes I wish I was born then to know more about the story, but trust me, we also have a story to tell our coming generations. Because a lot has changed.
Roads and economic systems were good back in the day. At least I knew when we were spending coins, and Kobo and I spent coins very well. Even as of then, there are lots of good things happening, and we could easily afford anything we wanted.

I could remember when petroleum was around a hundred naira. Even seventy naira. I remembered very well that I bought petroleum for my generator when it was just a hundred naira back then.

But then a lot starts changing. Everything started with our government, although we are the government. But then, the way in which people embezzle money these days is absolutely out of their control.
Talking about Nigeria's self. To be sincere, Nigeria is one of the countries that is blessed because we actually have everything we need. But then we are our own problem.

I can't figure out why the so-called government just wanted to spoil everything. It wasn't like this before, but now the rate at which we have corrupted people at the top is so annoying.

Saying Nigeria will be great again—well, I can't say it's not possible because God can do anything. I was talking to a friend of mine today, and she told me about the job she got recently. I asked her how she was able to get that job because I know getting that job is hard. She then told me she had paid a certain amount of money. I mean, this money is more than a million naira. This is for you to know that if you don't have money, you don't have anywhere to go in my country.

Now the question is, can it be possible for just an ordinary person who doesn't have money to get that kind of job? Everything is a slot in my country. Even at the party to get food you must know someone that serves food if not you won't see anything.

There are so many things my country needs to work on. The first one is the bad road.
Most times, people get into accidents not because the drivers are not competent enough to drive but because there are no good roads at all. I mean, you can't drive on some of our roads here and not be scared to death. Sometimes, when the bus or whatever you are driving is bent as if it wants to fall, your soul will have left your spirit.

I just believe the government doesn't really care, and even though they do, I, as a person, don't care either. We are part of our problems. You wouldn't want to count the number of people who have had accidents on these bad roads of ours. And yet, the government did nothing about it.
Honestly, that was even minor. We also suffer from power shortages. I'm sure there are other areas that haven't seen power for years. They are totally into darkness.

Everything is just wrong in this country, which is another reason why people prefer to leave the country for another place. Just imagine that kind of situation.
I don't want to talk about the art because it's so annoying that we have sold more of our art. We actually prefer money to other valuable things. I was in the art gallery one day checking out, and I realized that we had sold more of our art. If only we knew how beautiful and useful these arts are.

At the moment, we are hoping this particular government will do it differently, which will be better for us. Although we are still suffering at the moment because the damage that was done to the country is under our own control,.
I must say that we needed everything to make things better for us. We hope Nigeria is great again. Thanks for reading.
