social media challenge: Getting familiar with the obsidian summoner

It's another beautiful week. Sometimes I wish I could play Splinterlands all day and all night, because there is no way you will play and not learn one or two things, especially if you are someone who does not like to lose.

But on my end, I've got two constraints I'm facing, and not just me alone; I believe most of us are facing them in my country. The fact that there is no power supply and I have to carry my gadgets anywhere to charge sometimes does not give me joy.

Even if I say I want to fuel the tank of our generator, it won't be enough, as if it will only last for some hours. In short, that is not the only thing we are facing. The network problem is also part of the problem. As we spoke, I left home for another place to play some battles. I wouldn't mind playing all day if these issues could be settled, but that's what we face every day.

Meanwhile, I talked to my mentor about Splinterlands and my progress. I also talked about what I didn't understand with him. He gave me what I needed. Sometimes, it is good to ask questions. I realized the battle kept getting tough no matter how I tried playing it. So he suggested that I should stop using regular cards and start using gold cards.

So I decided to give it a try, and guess what? It was so superb. I don't know if the gold cards have more power like that; this is my first time using them. Although it is way more expensive than the normal one, it is still worth buying.

I rented some cards and played some games. Unlike before, I lost in most battles when I got the gold cards. My loss is back to before.

I played some games this week, and here is one of my battles.

The rules given are standard, which means there are no modifications. A 34-man cap was given. Anytime I see plenty of mana caps, I'm always happy because it gives me room to select more cards.

This time around, I did not use Avina; I used the obsidian summoner. I've not been using it very well, and since I've upgraded to gold, I tried using obsidian.

So I chose Grund for my front line. I chose it because of its double-strike ability. And this card has enough health and enough speed in the front line.

I also chose mycelic slipspawn as the second line. Since it's a magic card, I've no fear because it can attack from any angle, and it's also in good health.
I moved further to choose Xenith Archer. It's a range card, so it can attack from where I placed it.

I chose goblin psychic; I picked it because of its ability. Tank Heal will be able to heal the card in its first position, and it's also a magic card that can attack from anywhere.

Lastly, I chose Blackmoor Trickster. This card has a closed-range ability.
My opponent also did a good job; I just have a chance to win the battle.
