Different kind of market...
Few days ago I visited one interesting market/fair, where you can maybe find what you need and what you are looking for, but not buy it. What kind of market or fair is it, you wonder? Well, it was a job fair! This specific one was for students or graduates searching jobs in computer science, electrical or mechanical engineering. It was on two locations, in two days, and with many companies representatives present there. Once you enter the building you can take your map and decide where you want to go, if you have specific interests, or you can simply go around one stand, and see every company and what they offer. Everything was looking good, decoration was nice, but one problem I had there was small space, not too much space to go by stand and around people, so there were spots too crowded and impossible to go by until people move on.
Reason for some spots to be more crowded, mostly was more interesting program or gifts that they gave. Many stands had a quiz and reward for completing it, and rewards were some kind of propaganda material, like notebooks, pens, mugs... but sometimes they were little better and had more value, like USB or powerbanks.
But the point of fair is to get the opportunity to discover some companies that you maybe didn't hear of, see what they offer, what they do, and see if they have practice or job offers. There were some very popular and known companies there as well as some not so known and maybe new companies in the country.
As there were many people I was a bit shy to take photos, and later I realized most of them were more or less blurry as I was in hurry to make them, but I shared some of them. You can see how the building was decorated, some of the stands, floor which I took photo of only because it was interesting, and very nice architecture of the building.
There was also a separate place where you could leave your CV, or you could simply send it directly to any company that you are interested in. Overall, it was a nice and informative experience, and it can be very useful and helpful for the career.
