Sometimes I just take pictures, my entry to today's Monomad Challenge.
Most of the time when I go out to take pictures I don't have anything planned or anything specific that I want to photograph, instead I go out with an open mind and determined to take pictures of everything that catches my attention, that makes me think and enjoy the moment, I don't think much about whether others will like it because to be honest I am somewhat selfish and I am interested that I like it, otherwise I wouldn't share it with others.
Since we started in photography we read things like: photography has to tell a story, and I believe it, although sometimes I don't see it necessary and I'll tell you why, I don't think I really have to tell you a story, if you don't have imagination no matter how hard I work on a photograph you won't feel anything, it's like when you are bad at reading, even if you read a story twice you won't understand it, or do you?
Well that's why sometimes my posts can seem chaotic just like this post, when I go out I see a lot of different things and try to include them all, maybe it's not the most professional way to do it but sometimes it works well for me and for you.
The advantage of creating my posts is that for better or worse I can write the story in words for all those people who don't understand the concept, for example to understand this post you must see all the pictures as a whole, the animals have a symbiotic relationship with all the other animals and flora of the place, snails, worms, fish, birds, all are part of a chain in which they feed each other and thus survive as a whole.
Telling a story in photography can be hard sometimes, at least for me, but I keep trying, I never trust or say that my photos are perfect, I know that I still have a lot to learn and experiment.
Sometimes I just want to have fun, because let's be honest, sometimes animals give us strange poses that are fun for us, as if they were doing karate or running away screaming at the top of their lungs as if they had just been shaken, which by the way has been a long week because of all the earthquakes we have been through in Mexico.
Other times I simply want to enjoy the scenery and the moment, meditate on where I am and if I have achieved part of my goals, going out to the park or the mountains in complete loneliness gives me the possibility to listen to my thoughts, or maybe I'm just going crazy.
