Weeding , Clearing and Preparing the garden space for another planting Session
Hello Hive
From last veggies harvest I could see that it benefitted alot of my neighbors who got some free vegetables for dinner hence I do not wish to leave the spot over grown with grass. Better to have some useful vegetables growing here rather than grasses/bushes filling up the whole place.
There is not a thing I have planted in this garden that isn't flourishing. Except for the early stage of vegetables that got destroyed by pest in the first planting phase.
Fluted pumpkin
These are barely 3weeks old since I have transplanted them and they have shoot out stem with green leaves already. Seems like I may be able to achieve some early veggies harvest here.
The scent leaves
My scent leaves are now at the flowering stage and seed production, quite impressive that I could grow some veggies up to this stage. I'm hoping to harvest some seed here and see if they can be replanted for any gardening session.
The better leaf
The bitter leave plant is equally expanding and with the few leaves on it I can still harvest them for food.
Hope you know that these are all very rich vegetables, highly rich in nutrient and apart from the beneficial nutrient get to save some money eating healthy vegetables from our garden.
Clearing is often the hardest task for me. The ground here is very hard and working with a hoe is not doing justice to the task. It is almost as if I will be needing a digger to break the soil and at this point I really wish that I have one.
I wonder why the soil is still vary much hard like this even though it is raining season but not to worry a friend of mine has taught me how to endure the hard task if ever i am looking forward to a harvest.
The harvest is often the crown for our hardwork so we must endure.
Clearing is the task for this morning and as soon as I'm done with this the next task will be to visit the seed store.
On a side note I am yet to find a permanent solution to the insect infestation that destroyed the last sessions vegetables, African spinach and that has got me a little worried about what species of vegetables to plant this time around. I will have to make serious enquiries before planting and just in case anyone has a suggestion as to what I can do.
I wish to plant some vegetables like before and then look for another species that can possibly flourish here as well.
The weather is showing some clouds and signs of rain, hopefully this will bless the soil before I plant any seeds by tomorrow or next. This will relieve me of the stress of bucket wetting of the vegetable bed.

This happens to be my homestead activities for this morning.
Thank you for reading through.
Each time I see your blog on this, I laugh at my laziness.
I cleared a space in my compound to be planting vegetables but I find it so hard to go to market to buy seeds to plant.😂
Lazy bone… I love eating fresh vegetables that is more than enough to kill every form of laziness
I love eating them too that's why I intend to buy the seeds and plant instead of buying from the market every single time and be wasting money 😅
