Replanting beans seeds and Challenges Germinating Seeds

It is always a thing of joy whenever we plant grains and have them germinate properly like this because even the smallest of farm task can sometimes become something of concern. Imagine when you have to plant seeds over and over again, if the seeds aren't a quality one or if you have birds eating up every planted seeds

One privilege we often enjoy whenever we apply herbicides before planting is that when your crops germinate, you will not see any grasses germinating along side your crops. It often takes a while before any grasses germinate or grow up to catch up with our crops

)

Applying herbicides here is the reason you can see only beans and the clean farm, that reduced the labour of coming here to weed the farm a month after. As it is now we may even get lucky to not engage in any manual labour on the farm here.

One thing that happened after planting our beans which is often the order of the day is that you have birds come to follow in the footsteps of where we have planted these beans to pick up the seeds from the ground and eat them up.

There is no possible way of controlling birds from eating up planted seeds, hence we often watch out for whenever our seeds do not germinate properly so that we can replant them.

After all the drama of yesterday in the house it was time to check on the beans we have planted. Controlling birds from feeding on our grains is often easily done in our rice fields where we can use a scarecrow, a local drum or gum.
But for farms like those with this kind of setting it will be a waste of time to come sit here daily to drive away birds that will feed on our seeds hence the best approach is to watchout for seeds that didn't germinate for us to replant them.

So far we haven't experience any challenges with our germinating seeds. Even though we have bought this normal specie of beans seeds from the market and planted them. The ground is well watered for now and our beans is growing properly

It is not all of the time we plant Agric engineered seeds. I have heard that there is 40days specie of beans that grows and produce seeds within that time frame just like the 40days Okro seeds. It is a good thing if the life cycle of grains can be shortened so that that can be planted and grow up within the shortest time possible.

We have planted normal beans in our farms and since the periods of planting I have my records here and will watch out for how they will grow and the amount of time it will take for them to get to full maturity.

It is a good thing if the life cycle of some of the crops to be shortened for them to produce some food for us in the shortest possible time , more so in periods where rainfall is epileptic, one can grow some food in the shortest time possible rather than olanting certain beans types that will take longer period and gets withered away when there is no rain fall.

We just learned something new; adding herbicides to the soil before planting. Thanks for sharing that. We are glad your beans are doing well but we apologize for having to replant those eaten up by birds.

It’s only normal. Let’s just hope that some food comes out of this in the end. Thanks for the encouraging support.
