Inflation is out there and almost every country had their fair share of the situation but there are some key reason the citizens in this part of the world were worst hit and the country continually sinned into poverty.
At a time it wasn't that bad since citizens could still afford a two square meal, but now situations are just unimaginable.

It all started with a devaluation of the country's currency where the price of the naira fell drastically against the US dollar.
As if that was not enough, importers and marketers took this as an advantage to exploit citizens.

There was chaos in the market and every single producer/distributor(wholesalers and retailers) want to make an extra gain.

No price regulation for goods both imported and those manufactured locally in the country.

I could buy a Tin of milk for #2500 at a location and moving a little ahead or from the first store to the next one, the samw sized Tin of milk is sold for #3000.

The same incident is now playing in the price of fuel, diesel and cooking gas.

Fuel can be sold for #300 per liter at a location and a much higher price at other location.

Prices of commodities differ from location to location within the same state and there is also a marked difference from state to state within the same country.

Irregularities in prices makes some state in the country more expensive to live in, Rent, Food and cost of living completely on the high side in some areas.

Different businesses and Brand owners also have reasons for hiking the prices of their commodities.
These irregularities in prices is causing more countries to plung into poverty.
