A little drama at Ana's Birthday

Saturday was my baby's birthday and she was clocking 12 years of age.
Before that Saturday she came down with malaria and fever which we were hoping would go away before the birthday. My little sis was really looking forward to the day but unfortunately she didn't get better until the evening of that Friday.

I have earlier thought about sewing her some outfit so that she can have a photoshoot section but now with fever we have to take her to the clinic spend some amount for drugs and treatment before she got better.
I have already told her that she won't be getting any gift having falling ill🤒 and that I have used the money for her treatment instead.

Actually I was a bit scared myself because I have earlier had that same kind of fever attack on my birthday earlier in the month of August and want able to celebrate. All I had wanted was to get well because of how terrible I was feeling. Thesame thing has happened to my baby and she was praying for good health too.
Been alive to see another birthday is more important than any gifts one can receive, good health is wealth indeed.

We were back from the clinic in the evening on Friday and I sneaked out of the house to get a fabric for a secret birthday gift (A seamstress always gifts out new outfits for her birthday folks)

 The rush to go get a fabric 

I got something cheap yet flowery since we have spent part of the money I had budgeted for her birthday outfit at the clinic and can't afford the more expensive fabric.

Saturday is the birthday and I have just gotten fabrics on Friday.
I have to make some sacrifices to stay up at night in order to meet up with sewing something for her .

I remember how she has once admired one of my after dresses and I went straight ahead to sew one for her.
Cutting a V neckline shirt dress here Using just one trouser length of fabrics.
A simple dress won't be bad for a birthday dress too since I was already exhausted from all the running around to take care of her.

There was not enough fabrics to sew a sleeves hence I took all the remaining scraps sew them into a thin straight stripe and pleated it round the armhole

After staying up just to make good her outfit I had surprised her with it by morning although there was no power supply to iron the outfit as at the time it was her day.
She wore it like that anyway just to give me this shoot.

By evening we still were unable to iron out the dress of get some decorative buttons on it, nevertheless I gave her an idea of taking the photography with her school uniforms, which we later did.

To complete her birthday I then granted her the wish of owing a hive account which she has often wished.
Having Onboarded her with my native name @eneayi she was happy to have had a best birthday afterall.

Anastasia is fund of inheriting alot of things from me, from my dresses to shoes and all. For a 12 year old she has grown taller than myself and wear thesame size of outfit as mine since I have a smaller physique

How she inherited my name now is what I don't understand, her native name is Onyeche while mine is Eneayi but we are fond of calling her 'Ene' at home which is the short fun of my name. And how I coincidentally opened her hive account @eneayi unconsciously.

I have played the big sis role fairly well taking care of these babies that are all grown now, It is my delighted to always help them keep a memory of birthdays and childhood days, they should have me to thank for when they are now adults 😂😂😂🤗
