The pride expressed for one’s culture and traditions did not prevent writers from being critical and realistic about their countries. In as much as our system of government is messed up, I am still very proud of our people, I am saying this as both a citizen and also part of the majority, most of our people have learnt their lessons the hard way and only few of them are still stuck up in the past and I hope they find their way soon before it's too late...

Ghana is not a big country as compared to Nigeria and the likes. Even with this, we have come very far since gaining our independence.
Even though I wasn’t born then, I can boldly say that Ghana in those days isn’t the same as todays Ghana. Day in day out we strive to develop our country because we are all we have.

To be honest, if I was asked those questions like two weeks ago, I'd give my usual response which would have been so full of rants and talks about life being unfair to me lol. But something happened last week while I was chatting with friends on discord and it literally changed everything I had been thinking of my country for the good, yeah, I want to believe it's for the good.
