The second Neoxian City writing prompt was at an opportune time – Valentine’s day. Love was in the air and certainly in the hearts and minds of the writers. The posts were truly fitting and expressed what people thought love really is. Everyone was a “topper” with amazing posts. It was not easy to select the top 5. A big thank you to all participants.

It is said to be magical and beautiful for those who have experienced it... It makes them do things they won't do on a normal day to that person their heart chose.... It makes everything exist where there is nothing....

The Kind Of Love We All Need The Most @funshee

Someone once said to me, "what everyone needs most in life to be truly happy is love" then I wonder what kind of love he is talking about. He proceeds to say, "when you look yourself in the mirror and love, appreciate who you see with all the flaws and in perfection, that is the kind of love we all need the most". No matter who we are, how tough or strong we are. This person is talking about "self-love" here.

Unconditional, understanding, and selfless, are just a few of the things love is supposed to be. Easy to get into but not so easy to maintain or fall out of. I see a lot of married people, or people that have been together for so long and I wonder about all the sacrifices they have had to make for each other. Paths changed, doors closed, opportunities missed out on, I look and wonder "What is so special about love? And why would you do things you wouldn't normally do just to make the other person happy, or to keep them safe?"

A LOOK INTO MY UNDYING LOVE @vickoly

Love is a beautiful thing, and whoever finds it can be compared to being among the happiest people alive. It is an emotional feeling that revolves around extraordinary affection for someone; to love is good, but to be loved in return makes one fulfilled. I, for one, once have someone I cherished with all of my being before life happened, but even after that it held some set of people dearly to my heart.

I am so lucky and blessed to have such a wonderful family. Yes, it’s true that I would be nothing without my family. We have something unique and different home environment or I would say, the upbringing is somewhat unique that I have a different mindset and very possessive about my family, they always comes first for me.
