Hello hivers, I hope everyone here is doing well...Its always a great pleasure to be part this family of like minds always trying so much impacts to always make great impacts on the ecosystems...Kudos to everyone!!!
It's a privilege to be part of this workshop organised kind courtesy Actionaid and Activista on the industrious fight to mitigate climate change... This workshop seeks to train young people to become trainers to embark on climate adaptation on some selected communities in which Actionaid works in and to train small holder farmers on climate adaptation so we can collaboratively and collectively mitigate climate change in these respected areas...As an advocate on climate justice, I took it upon myself to be part of this advocacy campaign so we can make change....accolades goes to Actionaid for making this happen

The world is now about 1.1c warmer than it was in the century and the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and this is very worrying and we all need to pay so much attention to that because we are all at risk.
Temperature is rising day in day out and leads to consequence such as extreme weather events change in precipitation, nursing sea level, melting glacers ,declining biodiversity and more.
We also discussed issues of greenhouse gases and trying to understand that carbon dioxide takes 100years for a return and that's a big deal to us as human because it poses threat to us and our livelihoods.
We aren't very fortunate in this part of Africa because we don't have systems in place to solve issues of greenhouse gases but else Europe and Asia, they have systems like the carbon capture technology.. These machinery directs air captures chemical and gaseous substances that is processed into other chemical for use building materials and carbon fuels.
We also looked at COP27 -conference of parties and what they've done and what they still intend doing to mitigate climate change in the world and it was very amazing getting to know what these leaders are actually doing but nonetheless, we all have a role to play to support their initiatives .
We discussed over here how the Environmental protection Agency works and what they are doing with other stakeholders to mitigate climate change and how they create multisectorial engagements.

We deliberated on community adaptation planning ....Participatory analysis and community based planning for more inclusive discussion and inputs for community adoption plans.
Using Participatory Rural Appraisal= it's an exercise and transfer of knowledge and describes a growing family to approach methods to enable local people to share, enhance and analyse their knowledge of life and conditions to plan to act.

We deliberated on PRA tools and techniques to be used.
Diagramming that consist of transect walk, mapping, routine chart etc.
Interviewing that consists of structured, semi structured, key informants, focus group discussions etc.
Preference making that consists of social maps, data, pep density, tropical maps etc.

All in all, we had an insightful experience on the first day of the workshop.
Thank you for reading
