Spring Thaw Along the Elbow River

I thought the mix of light glistening on the water, the snow, the little ripples and the clouds all really caught the mood of the day. I wasn't expecting much, and I think these scenes still had enough elements to be somewhat interesting. I was walking towards the Glenmore reservoir, which was actually still frozen over. This is the river that leads from there, and the thaw had begun. I was testing out some graduated neutral density filters, and I found myself almost entranced by the glow on the water.
