Holiday well spend
A day well spend with my colleague. Vacation and holiday has always been in our mind before the end of the school season. I believe in every saying that " all works and no play makes Jack a dull boy" if I may ask do you subscribe to this hypothesis, do you think it a fallacy or formality from for a lazy man, what is your opinion? You can relate to that in my comments session.
On before the just concluded examination, a friend who had turned to be a brother invited the department of history and international studies for his wedding and traditional marriage. Though at the course of the session, he has performed few traditional rites as demanded by the village and by the people of the wife who was soon to be wife.
We attended the wedding and traditional marriage as a class and represented the school and department that was demanded. Collective donations were done and individuals also made their donation to the young and newly weeded couple in the form of cash gifts and materials gifts which saw the couples happy and thankful for our gesture.
In the same vein of the school holiday, some students planned and went on an excursion, they visited the Obudu Cattle Ranch which is located in the heart of Calabar city in Cross River State, Nigeria. The site seeing if that tourist center and historical place was worth going by the student as they documented some facts, took pictures and had direct contact with some animals in the Ranch.
Another historical moment was when the student visited the bridge of no return which is located in the city of Ikot-Abasi in Akwa Ibom. If you have read about it before you agree with me that you can't talk about the slave trade and slavery which was carried out by some powers European nation without mentioning or making references to this place. This place played a vital role in transporting the slave that were bought, caught,or kidnapped from the hinterlands out to the coastal area then shifted to Europe and the new world( America) for plantation purposes and other domestic things.
With these fun filled activities, I most say that yhe the holiday went well with alot of moment to remember were created and documented for reference and future purposes.
