Celebrating a birthday with a simple dinner with family

Good day hivers!!!!!
How's everyone?I hope you are all doing great today.

Its my husband's nephew birthday and we're having a dinner with our family as our simple celebration for the birthday.

Everytime we had a celebration ,usually I am too busy ,from buying what we needed,budgeting ,cooking and preparing the table and cleaning after.

Good thing that now they are helping me co they are already matured ,some of them already knows how to cook,so having any celebrations ,does'nt makes me stress now .

For this celebration,my nephew the celebrant is the one who buying what we needed for his birthday since his mom is not here ,his the one who went to the market and budget the money his mom sent to him.

Supposedly,were having a lunch together but then the rain poured hardly and he felt struggle on buying in the market and he came home late so we decided to have dinner instead of having lunch together.

Around 4 in the afternoon I am preparing the ingredients for the pancit(Filipino noodles recipe).As a Filipino ,pancit is always present especially on our birthday.

For my foreign readers ,pancit is a noodles recipe with mix vegetables.

Actually ,I will not the one who cook it but my brother in-law ,I am just preparing it so he can cook it right away .

We had also squid and grilled fish prepared by the celebrant .

And I am the one who cooked the shrimp,it just a simple shrimp recipe .

When everything is cooked ,I prepared the table with a little things added to make it more presentable looking at.
I used banana leaves for this setup.

The table was ready around 7 in the evening ,after singing a happy birthday song ,we are taking our dinner.

I know that most of us gets hungry already coz we can't take even a good picture together hahaha.
I only post the pictures that took nice hahaha.

Having our dinner together with the family is not a usual thing we did,we only have it during some celebrations and it's kinda a nice thing to do coz while we are having our dinner ,we talk different topics and laughed together.

After having our dinner,it's time for me to clean up the table as well as the kitchen haha.

But it's okay ,no problem about it ,I love giving my service o my family.
