I Have Received 0.0435 Bitcoin For Free!

Who will not love getting free Bitcoin BTC? People that are interested in making money and don't care about its scalability, high fees, or crowded network would scream with delight if they are given free BTC, even if it is only a small amount. Its price is still relatively high compared to recent years, despite a significant price correction at the moment.

As of the time this post was written, the price of one bitcoin is now about $20,762.43, and if I have 0.0435 bitcoins in my wallet, it works out to be about $903.16 and N695,4330.2 in Nigerian naira, which trades at 770 naira to the dollar.

With $903.16, What Will I Do?

A person of a fourth-world country would have a life-changing opportunity given that the sum is already enormous in our country; I just need N231,761.25 to sum it up to N1 Millon.

I'll just sell it all because the state of the market makes it impossible to predict whether it will rise or fall.

Therefore, these are the things I'll do if I ever have that much money.

  • Provisions For My Mum - My mother runs a shop where she sells a variety of goods, such as milk, cookies, soft drinks, and other things. Her store isn't quite full yet, so the first thing I'll do is head out get and fill up her store with some high-demanding items. I'll invest about 100,000 naira to stock the store with the provisions that are now in high demand.
  • Rent a new Apartment - I would have chosen to build a new apartment, but there isn't much money, and the price of constructing a conventional house is very exorbitant given the high rate of inflation. The choice I have is to rent a brand-new apartment. In Lagos State, to be precise, on the mainland, a standard two-bedroom apartment will cost about N300,000. My second priority is moving into this new apartment because my current one has made it difficult for me to be private and comfortable. Therefore, a two-bedroom apartment will work perfectly since my mother will have her own room and I will have mine, providing us both the privacy we required.
  • Get a new Laptop - I have spent more than N400,000 so far, leaving me with about N295,433 remaining. I have a laptop that my brother gave me, but it's not in great shape and the processor isn't fast enough. My focus is to start coding, and I've even spoken with @starstrings01 who has agreed to provide me with the necessary guidance and information on how to do so. He recently sent me a link to a free online course on how to get started with coding; however, because of the condition of my laptop, I am studying at a slow pace. My priority is to purchase a high-quality laptop with a fantastic processor that is ideal for coding. A friend of mine who deals with laptops told me that for N200,000, I can purchase a laptop with a fantastic processor and this will definitely speed up my learning.
  • A New TV Set - I'm doing this again for my mother because the TV recently sustained damage from a high power supply. The TV is already old and in need of replacement, and for N90,000 I can purchase a new 32-inch LED TV. I don't watch television because I'm constantly engaged to my phone, but my mother enjoys watching live shows and other intriguing broadcasts. I pledged to constantly make her smile, and since obtaining the TV will help, I'll be doing just that.

Just N5,433 is all that is left, which I would like to share with my neighbors, but, since the money isn't much I'll just have to use the best option available. With the remaining money, I will buy flour and other baking ingredients, then I will make chin-chin and share some to the neighborhood kids.

If I had that 0.0435 Bitcoin in my wallet, those would be the things I would prioritize. Unfortunately, all of this is just wishful thinking after I received a phishing email claiming that I had been rewarded the 0.0435 Bitcoin and should claim it.

I received this email on Wednesday night. When I checked my inbox, I discovered the email and the link, both of which are highly suspicious as phishing links.

To prevent accidentally opening the link, I immediately deleted the email after taking a screenshot of it.

Avoid Clicking Unknown Link To Prevent Being Ripped off or Hacked

Scammers are going insane trying to find new ways to steal other people's money, and using bitcoin as a bait is very alluring and tempting. Given that things are incredibly hard and receiving a reward of that size seems appealing, anyone who is curious about it or a newbie would have fallen for the trap. I didn't click the link, so I don't know the context, but I think it's a phishing link that targets users of crypto wallets. They might be prompted to send fee (funds) in order to receive the reward or to login with their private key or any other banking details. And at the end the scammer have access to the prey crypto wallet or banking details.

Considering hackers and con artists would stop at nothing to steal from people's hard-earned money, I advise everyone to exercise extreme caution and be safe so they don't fall for their tricks.

I truly apologize for that; I made the post's title that way so that readers might click and view it. I hope you've enjoyed reading it and have picked up a few new things.

Remember to upvote and share with your followers, be vigilant, protect your hard earn money and stay safe in the crytpo world.

Thank you

Those guys just don’t know how to fucking stop! I get this email all the time and I go “don’t you see I never reply?”

I’m very glad I only started noticing these phishing links know what I know now. The me a couple of years ago would’ve clicked and handed myself right over to them. Then again, the me a couple years ago didn’t have shit and probably would’ve had nothing they could steal. Not that I have much now, but I at least have something small worth being smart enough to not get caught in this shit.
