Calamities in the previous years gives the citizens an alarm, now they were voluntarily evacuated and seek for help.

It just means that Filipino nowadays are aware and kept posted on the advisories of the media.

In the past years, we saw some of the affected regions neglect the warnings of the media and weather forecasts until they experienced the terrifying result of the typhoon.

Many of them died, were buried alive, and some of them drowned, a very tragic experience that made Filipinos be reminded of the destruction that might happen.

LUZON'S NATURAL BARRIER AGAINST TYPHOONS

SIERRA MADRE IS TRENDING DURING TYPHOON KARDING

Trivia
The Sierra Madre known as Luzon’s “backbone” spans over 540 Kilometers from the Cagayan Province in the North of Quezon province to the south of Luzon Island, looking like a spine keeping the country upright and acts as nature’s shield against a super typhoon #KardingPH.

It plays an important role against typhoons and floods coming from the Pacific Ocean by acting as a natural shield.

A typhoon is considered a destructive natural calamity that may affect the lives of people. Having a presence of mind and knowledge during calamities will save our lives.

We can’t control the risk but we can lessen the destruction it might give. As responsible citizens, protecting our nature is very important. It will save us from any uncontrollable situations that might occur.

Illegal logging and deforestation are some of the environmental degradations that may destroy our planet.

We might not see the effect of this degradation but then it can be seen through unexpected natural calamities. Whatever the planet brings us it’s our way of treating nature. It’s the reciprocal of what we are doing in our environment.

For all the worries we had, God made His way to protect His people.
May the Lord give comfort to them and strength to see and have new hope in this situation let His restoration and love be upon those affected.

Storms come and go, and with every passing storm, there is a lesson to glean from. – Pastor Jimmie Duran

Let’s take time to pray for our country, the families affected by this typhoon, to the people who lost their lives and their homes, remembering that the Lord is our mighty protector and refuge.

It was hard to believe that Super Typhoon Karding rose an alert in the highest, the signal number 5. I was truly surprised that PAGAS had announced it prior to the landfall of the Super Typhoon. Karding was strong, but the people were well-prepared that was why only a few casualties were tabulated.

I've read a piece of sad news recently about the rescuers who died saving others. Although it was their job to what certain cost? Their lives at a cost. I was just grateful that Super Typhoon Karding was gone now. Indeed, Sierra Madre saved lives and it needs to be protected by the government and locals.

I also read the news about the rescuers who died. My friend is also a part of MDRRMO and he told me that there's a lack of communication between the five rescuers and their team. They shouldn't go there without the BFP. BFP is the one who undergoes much training in terms of rescuing.

The flood and the current are so powerful that using a boat is too much dangerous, but they used one. And sadly, they saved lives but they didn't save theirs.😖 If we can turn back time. Hindi mangyayari yun. Nakakalungkot😫

Btw, thanks, @dennnmarc for dropping by.

The storm was intense! Good thing that your LGU's are prepared and most are already in the zone before it hit and devastate everyone. Though it is sad that there's a ton of our folks who are still affected. Btw Eli, how are you in Zambales, are you also affected?

we're so much lucky that there are some people out there who monitored the typhoon and they didn't fail to give us a warning.

Yes, Kuya @tpkidkai. We're also affected by the typhoon but not that much and we reach the signal #4 warning.

Being vigilant and getting prepared helps in times of disasters like the typhoon. Sad that there had been damages due to Karding's strength... hope those affected will be able to get the assistance they need...
