Hive Open Mic Week 159 | | Waltz in D Minor - Brahms, Op. 39, No. 9
Hello! I'm glad to be posting in this space again. This week's theme "A Good Friend", made me think of those friends who are no longer here and are missed. Anyone who has experienced the loss of a good friend, either due to his physical disappearance or because he migrated to another country, knows that the feeling of loss or the void that he leaves behind can be overwhelming.
Hola! Estoy contento de volver a publicar en este espacio. El tema de esta semana "A Good Friend", me hizo pensar en esos amigos que ya no están y se extrañan. Quién haya experimentado la perdida de un buen amigo, sea por su desaparición física o porque migró a otro país, sabe que la sensación de pérdida o el vacío que deja puede resultar abrumador.
The work I am performing today, Waltz in D minor Op. 39. No. 9, belongs to the German composer, Johannes Brahms (1833 - 1897). I chose to play this waltz because in my opinion it can convey a feeling of loss and melancholy such as the one that the final departure or the separation of a good friend arouses in me.
La obra que hoy interpreto, Waltz in D minor Op. 39. No. 9, pertenece al compositor alemán, Johannes Brahms (1833 - 1897). Escogí tocar este vals porque en mi opinión puede transmitir un sentimiento de pérdida y melancolía tal como el que me suscita la partida definitiva o el alejamiento de un buen amigo.

What a beautiful piece, my friend😍 This piece truly conveys a lot of sad emotions and it helped me relive some good friendship memories.
It is a sad thing to lose a good friend especially the ones close to our heart. We can only pray they find peace wherever they are.

You're right @chosenfingers, it's hard to lose a close friend. Prayer can work in two ways, it gives us comfort and at the same time advocates for the well-being of the departed soul. I think so. Thank you for stopping by and writing those words. Blessings!
I never pray to have such an experience of losing one's dear friend. it's a big wound that can never be healed completely.

I lost a friend last year in December during the Christmas celebration. it's so painful and every day it keeps looking as if it happens just yesterday. His death happens so suddenly and shockingly.
He went to the beach with some of his friends and he didn't come back home again. He was buried at the bank of the sea. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

@fernanblog! Muchas gracias por tus palabras. Pasé unos meses con el nervio ciático inflamado, no podía estar mucho tiempo sentado o de pie, aun me estoy recuperando. No me quedó de otra que bajar un poco el ritmo y guardar lo más posible el reposo, por eso me ausenté un tiempo de la plataforma y de otras actividades que me eran habituales. Gracias a Dios todo va mejorando, poco a poco voy retomando todo. Gracias por la observación, el próximo vídeo saldrá horizontal! cuenta con eso!

Hola que maravillosa interpretación, me encantó lo que transmite... Es un vals muy hermoso a pesar de sentir melancolía y nostalgia al escuchar, porque aún en esos sentimientos hay belleza, en mi opinión son hermosas piezas que nos llegan al alma...

Hola @gemafreya1234, estoy totalmente de acuerdo con tu apreciación, lo que dices me hace querer evocar la imagen poética del héroe que se sacrifica para salvar la vida de su amada, si bien la escena resulta trágica y triste por el sufrir de la amada, es a la vez bella y sublime por el amor y la entrega sin medida del héroe. Beautifully played. This piece is so full of melancholy. I agree to lose a friend is a very sad thing. I have lost two close friends and I miss them all the time.
I have played some Brahms in the past but I found it very difficult.

Brahms is beautiful and complex, his great chords, his harmonic progressions so original, in short, Brahms is a great ocean of technical and interpretive complexities... There are works by him that for today I only dream of playing them one day, this is perhaps one of its simplest works and even so it was difficult for me to understand it and most probably I did not manage to do it.
