It's More or Less the Best: WEEK 58

It's More or Less the Best Curation Compilation.jpg

The Minimalist community presents It's More or Less the Best, a curation compilation highlighting some outstanding blogs published over the past week.

These selected authors shared their personal stories and views on different aspects of their minimalist lifestyle, giving some insight into what the style of living involves.

This compilation is presented to help shine the spotlight on the selected posts, with the hope that you will take a look at them in case you missed any.

Outstanding Minimalists Blogs in no particular order.

The Elegance in Minimalism: dainty, delicate and timeless.

✨"Here’s my go-to trick: match your metals. I always check for metallic details in my outfit, like gold buckles on a belt or silver buttons on a blouse and pair them with accessories in the same metal. It’s a subtle touch, but it elevates my entire look and makes every outfit feel intentional." @whatmidesays

Me First, Always.

✨"Prioritizing my well-being is the most valuable lesson minimalism has taught me, and it's funny how people still misunderstand this simple idea. People still believe that putting yourself first always can expose you to becoming selfish, but that's not the case for me because no part of minimalism teaches selfishness or greed." @george-dee

Live or survive?

✨"I do not know if there is a scientific relationship between slow walking and better control of my thoughts to relax but I admit that this technique has helped me greatly, it leads me to be aware of everything around me and to do things in a way that my brain understands the reason and does not take me in automatic mode. I have taken measures to walk slowly, I leave earlier to enjoy everything beautiful around me so I am not late for work or any place I have to visit." @abisag

A piece of clothing that simplifies my life

✨"When I was younger because of the shape of my body I used to be quite uncomfortable because my clothes were too tight, or because if one didn't fit below my knees when I bent down or something like that, it would ride up and I would have to keep pulling my clothes down because I don't like to show more than I should. A few years ago someone very dear to me gave me a nice gift that changed my life, he told me that by using this gift I would no longer suffer for any of that." @jemima1996

✨"Everything that disturbs me and worries me, eventually disperses sways. It is not a ‘magic’ solution; of course not. But it is one more resource to deal with the after-effects of living. The same ones that mark the lives of everyone, everywhere. If you've seen the Oscar-winning 2023 film ‘Everything, Everywhere, All at Once’, you'll probably have a better idea of what I mean. But if you haven't, it's no big deal either: in the end, it all comes down to finding ways to reconcile ourselves with what we dislike or what generates conflict." @chris-chris92

Crowned In Confidence

✨"When I remember those days I used to dress so simple and still look overdressed because of my hair statements, I cringe. And all the hair stress and loss I went through just get me annoyed any time they come to mind. The good thing is, I have lived that life and learned all there is to know on that opposite side. And you know what that means? Nothing will willingly make me go back.
" @abenad

Slowing Down to Move Ahead

✨"I've found it more fulfilling to walk around and take a stroll in a calm environment while focusing only on what works best than comparing myself with others because of the feeling that they are ahead of me. I love peace and whatever would keep my mind, soul and spirit calm, I do it instead of wallowing in self-pity every time." @princessbusayo

A black dress that I often wear

✨"I remember I bought this dress very inexpensively and the intention was to wear it at home but when I felt the comfort and how pretty it can look wearing different shirts underneath she loved it. Some of you may not like it but I tell you it is very versatile. I can wear it to the beach, on a walk and even to an important event. I don't know if I'm going too minimalist with this outfit but I love it. So when I go travelling my versatile black dress is a must." @abisag

Detoxifying my mind

✨"This year I want to learn to love myself as I am, detoxify my mind of the prejudices against my body and accept that there are things I can not change, that if I stay healthy doing physical exercise but without letting them affect me that the results are not visible to my eyes. People often have a lot to do with how we feel when they make comments about our appearance if we are fatter, older or how our clothes fit. The truth is that purging my circle of friends can also be beneficial to detox the mind, people who add nothing good to our lives should not be in our lives." @nathy33

Letting go of fear, to move forward

✨"Fear, fear and more fear, that accompanied me throughout the year 2024, a difficult year for many, including me, because anxiety did its thing, that fear I noticed how it caused me harm, mainly the fear of change, but not the change of losing or getting rid of things, but fear of change of places, people, situations. This year I was terrified of daring to do things differently because I was afraid that by doing so, things like those I mentioned would change." @jemima1996

Some additional tips

🔸 The community encourages authors to engage and build rapport with other team members by leaving meaningful comments.

🔸 If possible we recommend that authors try to use original photos taken by you. Photos count toward the possibility of your post being curated.

🔸 Just a reminder that the weekly #KISS Blog Ideas is presented with ideas on topics to write about and to help you to structure your blogs, they are not meant to be questionnaires for you to list information and publish.

🔸 The presentation of your blog goes a long way and sharing aspects of your lives and your personal stories and experiences should be a lot more than a list that can be found in various places over the web.

🔸 You do not need to wait or only blog in response to the prompts provided. You're free to share any aspect of your minimalist lifestyle at any time.

Thank you for checking out the #MoreOrLessTheBest Curation Compilation presented by The Minimalist. This is the new official community account, where the weekly #KISS Blog Ideas and all community events and activities will be published.
I invite you all to get involved and share your stories about minimalism, and perhaps you would like to invite someone.
