Conquer the Battlefield ~ Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge!
Hey, it's another week with another rulest to engage in the Battle Mage Secrets initiative. For this week. we got Stampede ruleset and to take the best benefit out of this ruleset we too got a sweet summoner in the line to bring in. Now it's on us how we are planning to go, our strategy with the monsters, some of them might work, and some of them just not. That's what these initiatives like Battle Mage Secrets and Social Media Challenges are because we get the scope to showcase our battles, share our thoughts and opinions, learn from others, and can correct our lacking.
Every week with one particular ruleset, I am learning a step more, not just me, but others who are participating as well. So let's go ahead and see what I have got for this week's Stampede ruleset.
My Lineup & Rulset
Daarg Deadblast |
Ulundin Overseer |
Runemancer Kye |
Djinn Oshannus |
Coastal Sentry |
Sea Wreck |
Summoner: As my summoner I have decided to go with the Possibilus the Wise, a legendary water Summoner. The main reason behind choosing this summoner is that it is the perfect one for the stampede ruleset. This summoner gives +2 health, trample ability, and reach to all monsters. As per the ruleset, the trample unit gets the upper hand so giving my monster trample ability is indeed a benefit.
1st Position: As for my first monster, I have chosen Sea Wreck, a Legendary water monster. It cost me 11 mana but has 3 melee attacks with one speed,4 armor stat, and 12 health. When it comes to ability, it has the Bloodlust ability so with every monster it kills all of its stats would increase by one. Also, the Return Fire ability. So my initial plan was that with its bloodlust ability, it would keep being even more deadly in every round.
2nd Position: In the second position, I have chosen Coastal Sentry, It just cost me 10 mana but has 3 Melee attacks with 3 speeds, 1 armor, and 6 health. Also, it has the Double Strike ability so every time it will be attacking twice which means 6 Melee attacks from the monster, isn't it deadly? I guess, it is.
3rd Position: In the third position, I have chosen Djinn Oshannus, It just cost me 8 mana but has 2 Magic attacks with 5 speeds, and 10 health. Also, it has the Void ability which reduces the damage from Magic attacks by 50%. A good one I would say.
4th Position: In the fourth position, I have chosen Runemancer Kye, It has cost me 11 mana but has 2 Magic attacks with 3 speeds, 5 armor, and 8 health. Also, it has the Flying ability which increases the chance of evading Melee and Ranged attacks by 25%, and the Life Leech ability as well, so every time it damages an enemy its health increases with half of the damage.
5th and 6th position: In the 5th and 6th position I have placed two monsters that are linked with one another. In the 5th Ulundin Overseer has no attack but has huge armor stat and huge health. and in the 6th position I have placed a monster with Weapon Training ability so that the monster adjacent to this gets this unit's attack as well which is Daarg Deadblast. It also has the Swiftness ability so all my monster gets +1 speed as well. Isn't it a great one?

99 mana battle!! It's like going limitless with the monster like picking the heavy ones you can, with no mana limitation type feeling. So I started sorting the big ones to bring in. You have already known the reason behind choosing the summoner. But I have chosen just 2 melee monsters. should have picked more melee monsters to extract the most of trample ability. But at that time, I didn't have much suitable melee monsters, I had better alternatives as this was a high mana battle so I decided to go with the big monsters as per their abilities to serve me.
This above screenshot is a fresh lineup before getting the summoner benefit and other monsters benefit from their abilities like trample and Reach ability from the summoner and also +2 health. Also, 2 magic attacks on the Ulundin Overseer from the Daarg Deadblast. Also, all the monster's speed will be increased by +1 due to the Swiftness ability. Let's have a look at the preparation for the final combat.
Due to the extra speeds, my monsters will be able to attack before the opponent's monsters. This is good to attack first as there is a great chance of killing the monster even before it can attack for its round.
I think my opponent ran out of big mana monsters because I can see there aren't many big ones. So, that's the first place I felt like I would win. The battle began and we both were fighting as expected. We had three cards in common.
During the 5th round, I had three magic monsters, and my opponent with three magic and one ranged that could do massive damage. But. look at my health, hugeeeee, and also the armor stats that saved me from the damage of the ranged monster. I lost no more monsters because I had a Life Lech one and the other had massive health too.
And, I got to experience so do's and don'ts for this ruleset. It was a smooth win for me, even better than I had expected. See you on the next one.
