Building A Habit.

What do you think about a person whose daily routine is something like, going to bed at 4.00 am and waking up at noon? Point to be noted that he doesn't have any kinda extreme necessity for such a routine. He can easily switch the routine in a normal shape without causing any harm. So what's your impression?

Well, this was me. So messed up with life that these habits were not even letting me overcome them. I knew their harm in real-time and still practiced them months after months. From January this sleeping cycle came to a normal shape, I have acquired it in a hard way that I didn't expect. I try to go to sleep before midnight and wake up within 7 or 8 am. I wrote about it before, just mentioning it for the sake of my upcoming achievement.

I don't know the last time I woke up early in the morning and went for a morning walk. Yeah, I think I never did, maybe did in my childhood. Actually, I don't even remember. That was an impossible task for me, it didn't even cross my mind mistakenly that I should wake up early in the morning and go for a morning walk, never. In the past, I did wake up early, went for tuitions, or for any important task to complete. Last two years, there was no reason of this sort to wake up by any chance.

So as I achieved victory over my bad sleeping cycle, it was time for an extra change too. So I made plans for a morning walk last night.

I asked my mom," When do you wake up?"
As she is on bed rest now she mentioned about 8.00 am and I asked her to wake me up if she gets up around 7.00 am. She asked for the reason and I just said, " Will go out for a morning walk." I could clearly see the surprise on my mom's face, maybe she was thinking from where the sun rises now if it has changed its way or not. I left the room immediately repeating my statement.

It's 6.30 am, my alarm is beeping on and on and on the other hand, I am deep in my sleep and continuously switching it off. Mom came and tried to wake me up and I was like, "Not today, tomorrow tomorrow." "I knew that," she retorted and she left.

Around 7.30 am, I woke up. I had made a note last night of why I wanted to go for a morning walk. Actually, often I forget the thoughts behind the plans I make and end up messing up. So I went through the notes with one eye open and the other one closed and immediately jumped out of the bed, freshened up, and went outside within a few moments. Yeah, I broke the barrier and went out in the fresh air in the morning. Seeing the city at this hour is kinda different for me, I was just moving along the known roads with an unknown fresh feeling. Enjoyed it.

I could feel the difference of freshness in the air, roads are pretty empty because the rush of people hasn't started yet. You know I have read about walking experiences from users many times and I would be leaving a comment of desire to create this habit within myself too. And this is the start, I know if I can wake up today then I will be able to wake up tomorrow too, and gradually it will be easier just like my sleeping cycle came back to normal.

I don't wanna start writing about the benefits of a morning walk because it's known to all and also available all over the internet with details. All I wanted was to record this experience of mine and share it with you guys, if you are planning to practice this habit then go for it, also you can share a bit of your experience if you already possess this habit.
